Corrib AC are promoting a reduced juvenile membership fee (€40) from now until the end of 2026.

Its a great time to join a local club, especially if you want to do cross-country and/ prepare for indoor track. Juvenile training officially restarting Saturday 5th September but ad-hoc session may be called before then. Usual sessions are Saturdays 9am at Killannin pitches and Sundays 11am (Corribdale/Killanin). Other venues will be used for training to enable broader exposure for athletes. The Mick Molloy 5km road race takes place this Wednesday 22nd at 7:30pm in Oughterard.

The race takes runners on a scenic route through the Connemara countryside on quiet roads, featuring professional timing, refreshments and a supportive community atmosphere.

The event celebrates Mick Molloy, one of Ireland's greatest ever distance runners and one of Oughterard's finest sporting ambassadors.

Please walk , jog or run and support a local event which is open to 13 year olds and up.

As hundreds of children are all geared up and excited , looking forward to the County Athletic Finals on Sunday, I thought I would give a heads up to Areas, coaches and parents as to what happens after Sunday.

The First Place County Athletic Track Winner and County Athletic Field and Relays will go straight through to the National Finals of Athletic Track, Field and Relays which takes place SETU Sports Complex, Carlow on 23rd,/24th August 2025

The 2nd and 3rd Place Winners at County Level winners will compete at the REGIONAL FINALS which will be held on 18th July in TUS Athlone.
