Oughterard was buzzing with energy last Sunday as our community games returned after a 7 year hiatus, with a fantastic day of excitement, fun, and friendly competition. In glorious weather, over 150 entrants, ranging from U4s to U16s and adult, took part in 32 events across the day.

It was a joy to see so many young people back on the field, and the event’s success is a testament to the incredible efforts of our local volunteers and community, whose hard work behind the scenes made the day run seamlessly.

Restarting these games is about more than just a single weekend; it is a vital investment in our future athletes. By providing a platform for children to develop their skills and passion for sport, we are ensuring that the spirit of local athletics continues to thrive for years to come.

We would like to extend a sincere thank you to; ☆Oughterard GAA club for the generous use of their pitch and facilities

☆Jonathan from Oughterard first responders ( who thankfully wasn't needed)

This is the running order of races for Sunday. Races start at 1pm. Please allow plenty of time to get to the starting line. Online registration closes 9pm Friday.
