🌦️ What a difference two hours can make! ☀️

Despite the horrible weather today, the rain held off right when it mattered most for our 1st Annual Carrigahorig Street Feast as part of the nationwide Tesco Street Feast initiative! The sun even decided to make an appearance, giving us the perfect window to catch up and celebrate with fantastic neighbours.

A massive thank you to Sinéad for organizing such a brilliant gathering, and to everyone who brought food, helped set up the tents, and came along. It was wonderful seeing so many local faces - young and old - together on the green space.

Here’s to making this a annual tradition! 🥂🎉

Happy Sunday, Carrigahorig! 🌿☀️

Exciting news on our community environmental project! We’ve been busy meeting with a local nursery to plan our new native trees, shrubs, and planting layout for the village green. 🌳🌸
Before planting starts, our first big job is stripping the grass for our shrub and wildflower area, and we're looking for a mini-digger! 🚜

If anyone locally has a mini-digger (or knows someone who does) that could assist us with site prep, please send us a message. It would be a huge help to the project budget before we look at hiring one.

Coming up, we'll also need volunteers for:
🚜 Site prep & ground clearing
🌳 Planting trees and shrubs
🐦🦔 Building bird, bat, hedgehog & bug hotels!

It’s going to be a great community effort for all ages. Keep an eye out for work dates coming soon, or drop us a message if you'd like to get involved! 👇
