The St. Patrick's Day Parade committee in Loughrea would like to offer our deepest condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of Michael “Mickey” Fergus.

Mickey was the beating heart of our annual parade. Every year without fail, he was the first to submit his entry form, bringing boundless creativity, humor, and enthusiasm to the town. His floats and entries were always exceptionally well put together, bringing immense joy to locals and visitors alike.

Beyond the parade, Mickey was a true pillar of Loughrea—always the first to lend a helping hand, share a story, and give back to the town he loved so dearly. His vibrant spirit, friendly chat, and warm smile will be sorely missed by us all.

May his gentle soul rest in peace.
