Huge congratulations to Lawrencetown NS who are Cumann na mBunscoil 7-a-side hurling county champions after a super win earlier today!

And this was after the Camogie team won their county final yesterday!

Well done to all the boys and girls and their respective teachers and coaches, what a week for the school. The future is bright!!

The very best of luck to David Hayes who is taking part in "The Big C Drop Croke Park Abseil Challenge" on Friday 12th June where he is helping fundraiser for Cancer Care West.

Well done David raising funds for a very worthy cause and enjoy the 150ft abseil of Croke Park!

One month and one day after our sponsored 10km walk took place, and with the sponsorship page now officially closed, we are absolutely delighted to announce that the final grand total raised was €136,835. This incredible amount will go towards the next phase of development at our club grounds in Kiltormer.

Once again, we cannot express our immense gratitude to everyone who contributed to this fundraiser. The support received from within our community, as well as from friends and supporters far and wide, was truly unbelievable and far exceeded our initial expectations.

Thank you to every walker, sponsor, volunteer, organiser, and supporter who played a part in making this fundraising campaign such a tremendous success. Your generosity and commitment have helped bring us one step closer to achieving our future development goals.

We look forward to sharing updates on the next phase of development in the months ahead.

A massive thank you to everyone who attended the official opening of our new O'Brien Stand on Sunday. Hot on the heels of our fantastically supported 10km sponsored walk at the start of May, it was wonderful to have another great occasion to come together as a community.

We cannot thank Una enough for providing our club with the superb stand we are now blessed with, dedicated to the memory of her beloved Padraic. The huge crowd was a testament to the popularity, respect, and high esteem in which Una is held throughout the entire community and to the lasting legacy of the great Padraic O'Brien.

A special word of thanks to both Banagher and Tynagh Abbey-Duniry for participating in the adult and juvenile games, and to Liam Gordon, Harry Murphy, and John Larkin for officiating. We greatly appreciate your time and support.

Thank you to our two former players, Fr. Anthony Kelly and Fr. Michael Kilkenny for blessing the stand, John Goode for his lovely words on behalf of Una, and to Lucy Kilkenny, Patsy O'Hara and their choir for the lovely music, which included a brilliant local remix of Kingfishr's big hit, Killeagh, which everyone unanimously agreed was even better than the original!

Finally, míle buíochas once again to our Pitch Development Committee and club officers for organising another fantastic day. The recent painting of the complex and dressing rooms was completed just in time for Sunday, and our grounds have never looked better thanks to all your hard work and dedication over the past number of years.

Thank you to everyone who contributed in any way to making the day such a memorable occasion.

The official opening of The O'Brien Stand is taking place in Kiltormer on Sunday next, 31st May.

The stand was erected in memory of one of our greatest supporters, Padraic O'Brien, by his loving wife Una.

There will be some underage games taking place from 11am, followed by a blessing of the stand by Fr. Michael Kilkenny and Fr. Anthony Kelly at 12noon before the grand opening by Una O'Brien.

A junior hurling challenge between Kiltormer and St Rynaghs, Banagher will then throw in at 12.30pm.

There will be refreshements in the Complex afterwards where the U20 All Ireland Hurling final between Galway and Clare will be televised.

Everyone in Kiltormer GAA is extremely grateful to Una for her most generous donations towards the cost of the stand, a fantastic addition to our grounds that will benefit the club for years to come. It would be great to show all our appreciation with a big crowd on Sunday.

The Kiltormer Cùl Camp is taking place on the week of the 13th July, with bookings opening from Wednesday, 20th May. Full details on poster attached.

Also, just a quick heads up to inform you when you are booking in for Cúl Camps, the gear this year is reportedly running a bit smaller than last year, so it may be an idea to order a size up if you wish!
