What a fantastic evening we had yesterday! 🎃🦫
Our Beaver colony over the last few weeks have been working hard in their community collecting Re-turn bottles to raise money! Not only did they have a brilliant Halloween party, but through their own fundraising ideas, enthusiasm and kindness, they’ve raised over €350 for Children’s Health Foundation, with the final total still to be confirmed! 🥹❤️

A massive thank you to all the families who got involved and supported their ideas. It’s been wonderful seeing the photos of our Beavers collecting bottles and cans and making such a difference together!

We’ll be reflecting on their fantastic efforts after Halloween, with all this wonderful community involvement contributing towards their Community Special Interest Badges! 🦫

Cooley Mountains Sionnach, 4 of our Scouts represented us this weekend and it was amazing! Fully self sufficient they did everything for themselves, navigation, tent pitching, cooking etc. Windy and challenging conditions on Friday night made for an interesting tent pitching session at base camp 😅
Saturday was an early start and hike up to high camp in glorious sunshine. Tents pitched, quick lunch and back hiking. Mixed bag of weather. Everything from side ways rain, mist, sunshine and gale force winds then back for dinner and a lovely calm night. Sunday morning was gorgeous! Not a breath of wind and sunshine 😎 14km 995m of elevation gain. Cracking weekend

What a weekend! Our Phoenix patrol were Awesome. They were awarded Gold Standard at the equivalent of the All Ireland of camping competitions! They did us so proud! Represented the group fantastically. The photos do not do the event justice. From the minute they arrived on Thursday morning til the closing ceremony they worked their asses off and had the Craic in equal measures.

And that’s a wrap! What a week. Kerry was amazing. Kids have gone home Broken & Buzzing and leaders more so! Savage weather, stunning views and even more unforgettable experiences. From cooking the fish the caught themselves, pushing themselves on the rock face, chilling on the beach and to top it off a Dawn raid on Carrauntoohil! Pictures Do not do it justice.
