📢 BADIG was delighted to attend a special event hosted by Ballymun Community Law Centre.

The event brought together members of the local community, public representatives and organisations to celebrate the important work of the Law Centre and highlight the importance of knowing and protecting our rights.

It was a great opportunity to meet people, hear from the speakers and learn more about the Fight for Your Rights guide.

Thank you to Ballymun Community Law Centre for the invitation and for bringing everyone together.

💻 Technology can change lives.

Acquired Brain Injury Ireland has received new funding to continue its creATe programme, helping people with acquired brain injuries access and use assistive technology.

The programme provides personalised assessments, training and ongoing support with tools such as screen readers, communication apps and voice-activated assistants.

Assistive technology can help people communicate, access education and employment, manage everyday tasks and live more independently.

Accessibility isn't just about removing barriers — sometimes it's about giving people the right tools to overcome them. 💜

Access to dental care is still a major issue for many people with disabilities in Ireland.

This week, Trinity College Dublin highlighted serious barriers and long waits for preventive dental care for people with disabilities.

Good oral health is not a luxury. It is an essential part of overall health and quality of life.

Accessible healthcare means healthcare that everyone can actually access.

💻 Did you know? Digital accessibility is still a major issue in Ireland.

Recent reporting has highlighted that almost 90% of Irish websites tested still contain significant accessibility barriers for people with disabilities.

Accessibility isn't only about ramps and physical spaces. It also means being able to use websites, apps and online services independently.

With more and more essential services moving online, digital accessibility matters.

Everyone should be able to access information and services online.
