Grace Kennedy presents the cup named in honour of her father to Gaelscoil Carraig Ui Leighin, who last week won the final of the U13 Girls Cork Large Schools Primary Cup.

The champions won the John Kennedy Perpetual Cup, sponsored by FORAS as part of our commitment to supporting grassroots football.

FORAS is proud to support local grassroots football, including sponsoring a trophy at Friday's Girls' U13 Cork Large Schools Primary Final. The John Kennedy Perpetual Cup, named in memory of our great friend and stalwart member, will be presented to the winners of the final between Midleton Educate Together or Gaelscoil Charraig Uí Leighin. Best of luck to both sides.

This week Catherine Shine presented the Patrick Shine Perpetual Cup to John Collins, Fixtures Secretary of the U13 Boys Cork Primary Cup for Small Schools.

The Cup, sponsored by FORAS, is dedicated to the memory of our former Board Member Pat Shine, whose contribution to our Trust is never forgotten.

Foras was delighted and honoured to receive a vote of congratulations from Cork City Council in recognition of our Sultans of Ping Jersey in aid of Field of Dreams.

Thanks to the councillors who unanimously backed the motion and to Cllr for proposing. We are still finalising the fundraising details and hope to announce the final amount raised in the coming weeks.

The Board of Foras were delighted to present a framed Sultans of Ping jersey, signed by the band, to our friends at last night. The presentation was a thank you to Coughlan's for their support for numerous FORAS initiatives in recent years, from screening City away matches, to hosting our 20th anniversary celebration of the 2005 League-winning City side, and providing the setting for our promotional shoot for the Sultans' jerseys.
