Bishopstown and District Lions Club hosted a Cookery Demonstration at MTU before last Christmas.

This was organised on a voluntary basis, by Chef JJ Healy and his team for the last 10 years with the beneficiary being Irish Pilgrimage Trust.

This charity now called Rise & Shine supports pilgrimage holidays to 400 young people with additional needs to Lourdes each year usually around Easter .
The recent event raised over €2400 which was recently handed over to the representatives of Rise & Shine at an event held at Aras Leon, in Bishopstown.

The photo shows Lions President Jim O' Connor making the presentation to Carmel Drinan and Vivienne Rattigan of Rise & Shine in the presence of Lions Club members.
