Ongar Playground - always busy!
I wonder when they will install outside gym equipment around the outer part of the park? (around the playground). The parents can get a work out whilst the kiddies play.

Another terrible fire, this time in Castleknock.

The rules of the various management companies in relation to fire are not to be ignored. They are for your safety and for the livelihood of others.
Ive seen the results of many fires over the years in North west Dublin. Thankfully there were no immediate fatalities, however, the aftermath of families going homeless, the builders, management companies and insurance companies all taking their time resulting in years of work before closure – Its simply not worth the risk of not following basic house rules of management companies and common sense in regards to charging batteries for scooters in your own home.
The batteries of scooters setting on fire has hit an all time high as reported below:
https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2026/apr/07/ebike-escooter-fires-uk-rise-record-highs
The cost of living has pushed consumers to seek cheaper options for batteries online.
At least one fire in Ongar was reportedly from an exploding battery. Another was from a cigarette falling on a highly flammable cushion. The fire in Blanchardstown a few years ago was said to be from a barbecue on a balcony.

Dozens of families have been left homeless, including several who face destitution from Monday, after a fire severely damaged an apartment complex in north Dublin.

Former residents say the billion-euro Comer Group, owner-manager of the Auburn Park complex in Castleknock, has treated them “very poorly” since the blaze, which broke out shortly after midnight on May 21st/22nd.
