THE BUDGET
€10 increase in weekly social welfare payments will benefit 1.6 million people, including pensioners, jobseekers, carers and people with disabilities
a new €500 Cost of Disability payment will support some 238,000 people in receipt of long-term disability payments, to be followed by a co-design process to develop a permanent payment from 2028
Fuel Allowance will increase by €5 per week,
Living Alone Allowance will increase by €3 per week,
child support payments will increase by €6 per week for all eligible children
Working Family Payment income thresholds will rise by €30 per week,
