Blanchardstown Traveller Development Group Traveller Pride event today at TU Dublin Blanchardstown campus a packed day of events first Castleknock and Blanchardstown history society went away with a presentation on morgan place for their next print run, then a presentation of BTDG work and our achievements next up was michael and johnny collins delivery of magpies on the pylon it was powerful and of course Trish Reilly and emily ward sang us to the door. Thanks to all who came and made it happen and our funders , here is a glimpse of the event and the evening was rounded off with johnny collins reading his poetry in the lord Edward in dublin photo to follow not forgetting my gorgeous little helpers michael collins and mason ward cutting our Traveller pride cake and yes it was a wooden knife

Don't forget tomorrow evening to join us for a celebration of Traveller Pride at TU Dublin Blanchardstown Campus D15 YV78 at 5 pm we have 2 presentations one on our work in btdg the seccond to the Blanchardstown historical society and we have stands and stalls as well as Michael Collins and Johnny Collins performing Magpies on the Pylon at 6pm sharp we have a panel discussion after with service providers and we have Trish Reilly and Emily Ward singing, food and refreshments parking is free after 5pm the show is for over 16

St Luke,s church Mulhuddart welcomed Blanchardstown Traveller Development to their community mass as part of Traveller Pride Week 2026 Fr brendan Madden said mass and thanks to gearldine Parish of the Travelling People for the photos, Catherine joyce said a few words " we would like to thank FrBrendan and you the parish for inviting us here tonight , tonight is a special mass to celebrate Traveller Pride week with us in Blanchardstown Traveller Development Group, we want to pray for a better relationship between the Traveller and settled community here in Blanchardstown and across the world especially the young people, we offer this mass for all the sick especially james collins tinsmith who is not well at the moment who was very supportive of our events for Traveller pride week, for those battling mental health or addiction issues, and for our loved ones who died reaceantly especially Tom Mc Donnell whom some of his family are here tonight on the loss of their father a lovely man a great mentor to our young people, a great tinsmith as well and supporter of our work, lord hear our prayers"
