🎶 Get ready for a fantastic celebration of music, creativity and community as Ruaille Buaille, Lucan Children’s Music Festival 2026 presents four commissioned works and world premieres! ✨

🎼 Crossing Paths: Sounds of Lucan Village Green 2026 by Abigail Smith
👉 Composed alongside 0 – 18 year old Lucan Village residents

This piece will premiere @ 2.30pm on Sat June 6th in the Music Village, Lucan House

Following on from the success and wonderful positive response to composer Abigail Smith’s Sonic Tapestry: Sounds of Lucan House 2025 we are delighted to announce another composition by Abigail Smith in the series Sounds of Lucan.
The composer immersed herself in the space for a day, interviewed passers by, recorded sounds and responded in her composition to the surrounding environment.

✨ Abigail sent us this lovely note ahead of Ruaille Buaille:

“Every day, paths lead us to the village green. We cross it on the way to school, to the shop, to meet friends, or to begin new adventures. It is a place of gathering - of flowing water, birdsong, passing conversations, and moments of pause.
Inspired by the sights and sounds of the historic Lucan Village Green, this new work weaves together the voices of local children to celebrate a place where pathways meet and village life unfolds.”

Roll on Ruaille Buaille! 🎶
