We are absolutely delighted to share the fantastic news that Annacurra has secured €69,400 in funding through the Community Climate Action Fund.
Last year, together with Annacurra GAA & LGFA, we applied for funding to support important projects in the village that will benefit Climate Action and Biodiversity. We are thrilled that this funding will now help bring these projects to life:
🐝 New Community Biodiversity Garden
A beautiful new biodiversity garden will be created beside Hazel Hill in the heart of the village for everyone in the community to enjoy.
🌸 Annacurra Community Centre Upgrades
The centre will benefit from new external windows, doors and insulation, greatly improving comfort and energy efficiency for all users.
We would like to sincerely thank Julie Sammiller, Jim Callery and Sarah Rubalcava, Climate Action Officers with Wicklow County Council, for all their help and guidance in planning the biodiversity garden since we first approached them over a year ago.
A thank you also to County Engineer Avril Hill and her team, and to Councillor Pat Kennedy for their continued support and assistance.
During National Biodiversity Week, we are especially delighted to receive this opportunity and look forward to delivering these worthwhile projects for the benefit of the entire Annacurra community.
Congratulations to all of the other successful applicants. 👏
