Over the next few weeks when you are clearing out your wardrobes, please do not dump your bags at the clothes bins like this person did. Put the clothes in small bags that will fit in the deposit bin. Don’t make your clearance a job for someone else.

⚠️Warning Notice – Algal blooms in County Monaghan Lakes
During periods of calm and warm weather, algae in lakes may multiply rapidly causing the water to become green. This is known as an Algal Bloom. The algae can rise to the surface to form a visible Scum.
Members of the public are advised to avoid contact with the affected water as it may cause illness such as skin rashes, eye irritation, vomiting and diarrhoea.
Do not swim or allow children to paddle if there is evidence of discolouration of the water.
Algal blooms and related scums can also be highly toxic to dogs and other animals. Farmers and dog owners should prevent access of their animals to affected areas and should not allow them to drink, swim or ingest any scum.

Bring your family and friends, relax with a picnic, enjoy pre-film music, treats and refreshments, and experience the magic of watching The Lion King on the big screen in the heart of the community.

Tidy Town clean up will take place this evening at the Fair Green. A lot of work needs to be done in this area so we are asking for extra volunteers. If you can come to help bring a brush or tools to remove weeds. Thanks to our Ukrainian volunteers who finished Church St clean up last week. Thanks also to Thomas Kerr, Shebean for offering coffee and treats to the volunteers and Jim for donation. All Greatly appreciated. So again 7 to 8 pm Fairgreen this evening.
