This week we held a series of workshops for the newly formed Our Balbriggan Youth Council. Calling all young people aged 13-17 interested in joining the Our Balbriggan Youth Participation Group. Supported by Our Balbriggan and Fingal Summer Programmes, Foroige is delivering a three-day workshop series and one fun trip to build the skills and confidence of young people who wish to join this newly established town youth participation structure.
11-3pm, 21-24 July
Facilitated by trained youth officers and coaches, the week will include a mixture of icebreakers, team building activities, and workshops on committee skills, leadership, citizenship, and youth participation.
Tuesday and Wednesday will feature team-games and workshops on democracy, committee skills, and leadership.
Thursday, we have invited a panel of community leaders for the participants to engage with in a Q& A and social mixer. Thursday will also include a brainstorm session for the Youth Group's official launch.
Friday, we round the week off with a fun activity to celebrate the participants' engagement.
