Huge congratulations to our Eagle patrol who secured GOLD STANDARD at the Phoenix Challenge in Castle Saunderson. We are thrilled with this incredible result and are so proud of our amazing scouts who worked so hard and flew our flag with distinction. They are a truly phenomenal bunch, and we couldn’t be prouder, of our second gold team in a row.

Huge congrats to 89th Bremore Scout Group who also got gold, and to Stamullen and Skerries who got silver standard. Delighted to see such a strong performance for Fingal Scouts once again.

Best of luck to our Eagle patrol who are en route to the Phoenix Challenge in Castle Saunderson in Cavan. They’ve trained really hard all summer and we can’t wait to see their skills on display over the next 4 days!

Best of luck also to 89th Bremore Scout Group , 20th Stamullen and 98th Skerries also flying the flag for Fingal Scouts this year. Hopefully we will see another strong year for the county.

THEY’VE DONE IT!!!

Enormous congratulations must go to Jack Clohessy and Ryan Murphy who were awarded the Explorer Belt this evening.

They walked 202km across Austria and Czechia, travelled 90-100km on public transport, completed their cultural projects, wrote a comprehensive logbook and managed their limited budget across 10 days, battling the heat, the language barrier and a whole lot of blisters.

They join a very small list of Lusk Scouts to have the Explorer Belt awarded to them, and the first in almost 30 years!

We said when they departed two weeks ago that the two lads were a shining example to our younger members, and that we have been so proud to watch their scouting journeys unfold. That remains truer than ever, and we cannot wait to see what is next!

BRAVO BRAVISIMO VERY WELL DONE!

They’re alive! Huge congrats to Jack and Ryan who landed at base camp in Prague earlier today after 10 days trekking across Austria and the Czech Republic. Now for a couple of days of chill and assessment before they return home. 💪💪

BRAVO lads, we are so proud of you!

The very best of luck to our legendary Rover Scouts, Jack Clohessy and Ryan Murphy, who head off on the Explorer Belt later today!

We are so proud of these two amazing young lads who are taking on the adventure of a lifetime in a foreign country, to be revealed later today! They become the first Lusk scouts to take on the challenge in around 30 years, and are a shining example to the younger members in our group.

They’ve come a long way, and we’ve been so proud to watch their scouting journeys unfold. See the photo from their first trip abroad with the group, to Germany in 2019!

Good luck lads! We will be cheering you on from afar! Good luck to all the other participants as well!

Huge thank you to White’s Agri for supporting our lads who are heading off on the Explorer Belt next week!

Best of luck to Jack & Ryan from Lusk Scout Group as they head off next week to take on the incredible Scouting Ireland Explorer Belt challenge!

This is a seriously tough adventure – 200km on foot, navigating a mystery country with no GPS or translator, relying on kindness, resilience, and determination every step of the way.

White’s Agri is proud to support their journey with a donation and we’d encourage anyone who can to consider backing them too. Every bit of support will make a real difference as they take on this once-in-a-lifetime challenge representing Lusk.

If you’d like to help them reach their target, you can donate here:

Best of luck lads – lets hope you won't need the Uddermint!!! 💪

Well done to our Cubs who took part in the Fingal Scouts Cub Challenge in Collon this weekend. Both sixes did brilliantly, and put on a top class display of teamwork, determination and craic. We are very proud of them all.

Special shout out to our ‘B’ six who finished third and qualified for the National Cub Challenge in Larch Hill. They put on a brilliant display, ably led by Sixer Lucy Mae and Seconder Finn!

Huge congratulations to our Eagle and Bear patrols who took part in the Fingal Scouts shield this weekend in Larch Hill. Our Eagle patrol scooped up 2nd place, along with the logbook trophy. PL and APL, Olivia and Caodhan, were also awarded the Leadership award!

Congrats to 89th Bremore Scout Group for winning, and to Stamullen for finishing 3rd. See you both at the Phoenix in August!

Well done to our intrepid travellers who battled the Ulster MPC this weekend. They faced some truly harsh conditions and had huge learning experiences. Unfortunately, it had to be cut short yesterday, but we will be talking about for years to come. Thank you to the MPC team for organising the event, and for making the right call to disband the event early.
