Childminding Ireland is the National Childminding Association in Ireland. We are a not-for-profit organisation, set up and run by former childminders. This means that we are uniquely placed to provide guidance and support to Irelands’ childminders at every step of their journey. From our inception, more than forty years ago, we have both wanted, and actively worked for, an Ireland where childmindi

ng flourishes and is sustainable into the future. That’s why we advocate for the equitable inclusion of childminding in childcare policy. At Childminding Ireland, we are determined that the voices of childminders are represented and heard at this time of change. Vision

An Ireland in which childminding flourishes resulting in profound benefits for children, families and communities. A childcare environment in which childminders have parity of esteem, access to supports, training and equitable inclusion in policy and in practice. Mission

At Childminding Ireland, we offer support to childminders so that they can provide best quality childcare in a home-from-home setting for the benefit of children, their families and their communities. Goals

Sometimes the smallest moments have the biggest impact. 💫

As childminders, we encourage children to celebrate kindness, friendships, achievements, and the unique qualities that make them who they are. By pointing out the good around them and within them, we help build confidence, empathy, and self-belief.

❤️ Let's keep spreading kindness, one child at a time.
