方便居民從源頭進行分類回收，包括：塑膠、發泡膠、廢紙、紙包飲品盒、金屬、玻璃容器、家庭電器、電腦、慳電膽及光管、充電池、碳粉盒及油墨盒、衣物，減少廢物丟棄在堆填區。 「黃大仙社區回收中心」為東九龍居民委員會有限公司主辦的社區減少廢物項目，透過回收潔淨塑膠廢料及推廣環保教育，籍此鼓勵市民養成環保生活習慣，倡導綠色生活。
