This workshop focuses on developing a strong technical and physical understanding of spinning on a single-point trapeze.
The session begins with a warm-up specifically designed to prepare the body for the techniques explored throughout the workshop.
Participants will learn the fundamentals of spinning and discover a range of movement possibilities that emerge from it. Through guided practice, they will explore how to apply principles such as conservation of angular momentum, centripetal and centrifugal forces, and gravity to generate, control, and sustain rotations.
The workshop will also address how to combine spinning with dynamic technique, integrating swings with changes of planes. This approach allows participants to expand both their technical skills and their creative movement vocabulary in the air.
Luis Valle holds a degree in Psychology but driven by his passion for the performing arts—especially trapeze—he pursued professional training in circus arts at Die Etage in Berlin and at Escuela de Circo Carampa in Madrid, specializing in fixed trapeze.
He also trained in contemporary dance in Madrid, Berlin, and Barcelona. After researching single-point trapeze technique, he developed an approach that combines dynamic movement, spins, and the use of different spatial levels offered by dance trapeze.
He completed a Stage Direction program in Granada and has been teaching regular aerial classes since 2015.
He has participated in artistic projects in Germany, Finland, Serbia, The Netherlands, Spain, Mexico, and Portugal, and has been invited as a guest teacher at the Bachelor’s Degree in Circus Arts in Mexico City and at CREAT in Valencia.
Throughout his career, he has worked across diverse artistic languages, developing a multidisciplinary vision through collaborations with various companies, productions, and events, and gaining strong versatility as an artist.
