What a lovely day to be outside at Cambian Lufton College! The environment and facilities there are first-class. Our trainees are loving the hands-on experience! They get to learn new skills re animal care and husbandry whilst also gaining in confidence. Today the Hub was presented with a cheque for £284 from the Yeovil Ladies Skittles League. This was money raised by the lovely ladies via raffles during their season and the Hub was lucky enough to be the chosen charity. Huge thanks to everyone who bought a raffle ticket, it is really appreciated and will go to the direct benefit of our trainees.

Our season may be over but we are already in training for next season! Working in partnership with the excellent coaches from Yeovil Town Community Sports Trust and being able to use the great facilties at Yeovil Town FC makes such a difference to our trainees. The guys have also got World Cup fever and the Hub World Cup sweepstake was soon sold out!

Don't forget the Hub is on Vinted!! If you want to roll back the years and get some quality vintage items then check out our page - thehubyeovil. All the proceeds go to the direct benefit of the Hub's trainees.

We have all sorts on there from sewing machines, to shoes, vintage games, book collections, models etc and new items added every week!

The guys have been busy today adding items and parcelling up sold items to send to our customers.

Today was the culmination of a 4 week project with Leonardo's Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) team. The teams of Leonardo apprentices and Hub trainees have been designing and building small bridges to drive robots over!! Today our trainees visited the iAero building and got to put their bridge building and robot driving skills to the test! It was a fantastic event and our trainees were treated to lunch, provided with certificates and have had a unique experience!! Huge thanks once again to Leonardo for partnering with the Hub! These projects and experiences mean so much to our trainees! Thank You!👏👏🙏

Today a group of trainees had a tour of Kuehne + Nagel's newest warehouse in Yeovil. Unfortunatley we were not allowed to take photos inside but the trainees had an informative and enjoyable time. The warehouse was massive and extremely impressive! The trainees also got to have a quick go in the K + N staff recreational room. Big thanks to Clive at K + N again for giving our trainees this experience! 👏

Today some of our trainees had a real treat when Eve brought her assistance dog Esper to the Hub. Eve who is autistic has a fantastic bond with Esper and Esper has helped Eve conquer many challenges. Eve now has her own dog walking and sitting business thanks to Esper.
Our trainees were so engaged in this calming and therapeutic session and had loads of questions for the inspirational Eve.
The good news is that Eve will be coming back with Esper so that other trainees get to meet them and hear their story.
