Worthing needs your skills! Can you help us bridge the digital divide? 💻💼✨

If you have great people skills and love helping others navigate the digital world, we need you! We are currently looking for:

💼1. Volunteer Digital Work Coaches
Do you have experience in assisting, supporting, or teaching others? We need empathetic volunteers to guide vulnerable individuals through CV writing, online job applications and using employment platforms. Your encouragement can help someone build the confidence to kickstart their career!

📱2. Volunteer IT Tutors
Do you have a good general digital knowledge? We need tutors who know their way around Android and Apple devices (laptops, tablets, and phones), as well as everyday tools like Google Apps. If you are patient and enjoy sharing your tech know-how to help others stay connected, this is for you!

For both roles, strong people skills, patience and a desire to support the community are key!

My one to one classes with Marie Therese were nothing but uplifting her compassion, kindness and sense of humour helped me through a difficult transition in my life. I am thankful for her sensitivity and gentleness and for her wealth of knowledge and experience with formulating my CV. The whole process helped to restore my confidence and self belief and for that I am very grateful.

I was also fortunate to have IT support from Jon a volunteer at the centre, he was able over a period of a few weeks to help me navigate some issues and concerns that I had with my laptop. Finally I come to the group sessions which are led by the brilliant Amberlouise who is a wonderful patient teacher. Over the period of time that I have attended I have learnt so much from the differing monthly topics. Amberlouise is highly skilled in her field and is able to simplify and clearly explain the processes and the handouts and worksheets that she provides are invaluable.I always look forward to attending her classes as the whole experience is one of learning positivity and friendship."
