🎉 WE WON! 🎉

Yesterday, Worthing Musical Comedy Society was honoured to receive the NODA Award for Best Musical (Post 2000) in the South East Region 2025 for our 90th Anniversary production of Priscilla Queen of the Desert. 🏜️

It was an absolute privilege for our Director, Jeff Raggett, Choreographer, Kate Wilson, and three of our leading cast members, Adam Knight (Felicia), Alex Brown (Tick) and Steve Hollis (Bernadette), to accept this recognition on behalf of the entire company.

This award belongs to every single person who helped bring Priscilla to life – our incredible cast, production team, band, backstage crew, front of house volunteers, and everyone who played a part behind the scenes in creating such a spectacular production. 🌈

Thank you to NODA for this wonderful recognition, and thank you to our loyal and ever-growing audiences whose support of local theatre makes everything we do possible.

This award comes just days after WMCS was also honoured with the Arts & Culture Award at the Worthing Community Awards, making it an incredibly special time for our society and a wonderful way to celebrate the continued success of our 90th Anniversary production. 💜✨

✨ WE WON! ✨

We are absolutely thrilled to share that Worthing Musical Comedy Society has been awarded the Arts & Culture Award at the Worthing Community Awards.

To be nominated alongside so many incredible people and organisations was already a huge honour, but to hear our name announced as the winner was something truly special.

We feel incredibly proud to be part of Worthing’s vibrant cultural community. This town is bursting with creativity, talent, music, theatre, art and community spirit, and we’re honoured to play a part in helping that culture continue to thrive.

A huge thank you goes to our members, volunteers, creative teams, supporters, and everyone who buys a ticket and applauds from the audience. Your support allows local theatre to flourish.

We’d also like to thank the WMCS Board and Committee for their dedication, vision and leadership in helping the society continue to grow and thrive.

This award belongs to all of you. 💛
