We’re opening our doors to new members aged 16+, and we’d love to discover the singers, dancers, actors and backstage talent who could become part of our fabulous society.

For 91 years, WMCS has brought people together through a shared love of theatre. Whether you’re an experienced performer or looking to get involved with community theatre for the first time, bring your skills, your enthusiasm and your love of performing and find your family with WMCS. ❤️

We’re especially looking for dancers to join our fabulous dance team, including tap dancers. So dust off those dancing shoes and come and show us what you can do!

From an empty float… to a full-on showstopper! 🤩🎭

More than 50 members and their families gave their time, creativity and energy to bring our carnival float to life and we couldn’t be prouder of the result. The float looked incredible, the costumes were amazing, and seeing everyone come together made it even more special. 🧡

🎭 MEET THE COMMITTEE 🎭

Meet the people behind WMCS and our Youth Company, the team who help take our productions from the very first idea to the moment the curtain goes up.

So much of what makes our society possible happens behind the scenes. Our committee give an incredible amount of their time, energy and care throughout the year to support both our adult and youth members, keep everything running and help bring each production to life.

From planning, production and premises to marketing, fundraising, ticketing, safeguarding and everything in between, there is a huge amount of work that often goes unseen.

We are incredibly grateful for everything they do for our shows, our members and the wider WMCS family.

So here they are, the people behind the productions, and a huge part of what makes both WMCS and our Youth Company what they are. ❤️🎭✨

🎉 WE WON! 🎉

Yesterday, Worthing Musical Comedy Society was honoured to receive the NODA Award for Best Musical (Post 2000) in the South East Region 2025 for our 90th Anniversary production of Priscilla Queen of the Desert. 🏜️

It was an absolute privilege for our Director, Jeff Raggett, Choreographer, Kate Wilson, and three of our leading cast members, Adam Knight (Felicia), Alex Brown (Tick) and Steve Hollis (Bernadette), to accept this recognition on behalf of the entire company.

This award belongs to every single person who helped bring Priscilla to life – our incredible cast, production team, band, backstage crew, front of house volunteers, and everyone who played a part behind the scenes in creating such a spectacular production. 🌈

Thank you to NODA for this wonderful recognition, and thank you to our loyal and ever-growing audiences whose support of local theatre makes everything we do possible.

This award comes just days after WMCS was also honoured with the Arts & Culture Award at the Worthing Community Awards, making it an incredibly special time for our society and a wonderful way to celebrate the continued success of our 90th Anniversary production. 💜✨

Here’s to many more years of outstanding local theatre! 🎭
