Worthing 10K bag drop!

To round off volunteers week our Worthing leaders are here keeping runner bags safe and boosting spirits.

This is our fourth year running the bag drop and at this point we are a slick, well oiled machine...bags in neat rows..all in chronological order...diligently supervised and ready to safely hand back to the brilliant 10K runners after the race.

You can always rely on a Girl Guide!

We enjoyed a wonderful campfire this evening! 🔥

It was lovely to have our Rainbows, Brownies, Guides, Rangers and volunteers from across Worthing come together in the warm sunshine for a good old sing-a-long 🎶

It was also a lovely opportunity to celebrate our dedicated volunteers, who give a lot of their time to help the girls create memories like these 🫶🏾

Congratulations to everyone who gained a long service award this evening!🎖

To all our young leaders, D of E volunteers, unit leaders, unit helpers, individual support volunteers, leaders in training, treasurers, administrators and coordinators, commissioners, hall maintenance volunteers...everyone!!!

We see you and all the hard work you put in every single week...on top of your day (and night!) jobs and personal family lives.

You're all amazing and we appreciate you all!

What do Winnie the Pooh, Sir David Attenborough and World Thinking Day 2026 all have in common? 🤔

That's right - celebrating their centenary and a love of trees! 🌳

2nd Worthing (Methodist) Brownies had a wonderful evening of Promises & Painting with a tree theme! 🎨

They made a unit Promise tree to help their newest recruits learn the Brownie Promise and used pointilisim to create beautiful tree paintings, which they will give to an elder member of their community as part of their kindness badge 💛

PS - isn't 13th Worthing (Methodist) Brownies' Guiding family tree just lovely too? So colourful!

..and well, a day of learning deserves a sweet treat! The cream tea was a lovely chance to meet, celebrate and chat to leaders across our County 🫖

Girlguiding really is a lovely way for adults to develop our skills and make new friends too!

Thank you Girlguiding Sussex West County team for a fab day.
