🔥 HOW MUCH MORE DAMAGE DO WE HAVE TO TAKE?

Record heat. Wildfires. Drought. The climate crisis accelerating before our eyes.

And still they want MORE oil and gas.

Today in Wimborne we stood up and said: STOP ROSEBANK‼️

No more fossil fuel expansion. Renewables now.

Lies. Greed. Recklessness.

The planet destroying fossil fuel industry is plastering lies all over the facts in their greed for profits … and it looks like our reckless, short-termist Government are falling for them.

Oil and gas from Jackdaw and Rosebank would be sold on the international market to the highest bidder.

They will NOT
🛑provide energy security
🛑reduce bills
🛑prop up jobs to any meaningful degree - a fair transition for North Sea workers is urgently needed.

The UK Government should be providing leadership in protecting the climate not destroying it

Energy secretary could recommend new North Sea drilling next week, as ministers also consider approval for Rosebank oilfield

💚 Huge thanks to everyone who came to our meeting at the King’s Head, what a wonderful turnout!

A special thank you to Professor James Bullock for his eye opening talk on “Conservation in a Burning World”.

Our meeting was all about hope🕊️

We broke into small groups to share ideas and discuss in particular how to continue the roll out of the People’s Emergency Briefing film across East Dorset.

Everyone was so engaged, thoughtful and willing to listen to each other. It was a genuinely warm, inspiring evening.

The world might be burning, but there are solutions and every one of us can play a part, however big or small, in creating the pressure for our Government to act.

It was brilliant to see so many familiar faces from our People’s Emergency Briefing screening in June.

There is so much we can do. And together, we can help create the tipping point for change. 🌍💚✊
