The National Emergency Briefing given to MPs in Westminster is now coming to WIMBORNE COMMUNITY CENTRE (formerly CLaRC) 41-44 King St, Wimborne, BH21 1EA. Entrance is accessed from the King Street car park.

A LUNCHTIME screening to accommodate those on their lunch breaks, or working from home, or busy with the school run, or at home during the day, or who simply prefer daytime events.

NB THE FILM WILL END BY 2PM BUT PLEASE DO STAY FOR THE COMMUNITY DISCUSSION AFTERWARDS IF YOU POSSIBLY CAN.

If you have the school run or work commitments we totally understand - stay as long as you can and make new connections in your community.

With refreshment breaks and the community discussion, we estimate the event will end by about 3.15/3.30pm.

WHAT’S IT ALL ABOUT?

Last November, leading UK scientists and experts delivered a stark, evidence based briefing on the climate and nature crises to politicians.

Now that same evidence has been turned into a powerful 50 minute film and communities across the UK are being invited to experience it together.

THIS ISN’T A TYPICAL CLIMATE FILM.

It lays out, clearly and honestly, what this crisis means for:

• our food

• our health

• our economy

• and our national security

And crucially, what can still be done.

Watch the film along with your community. This is about deciding together what happens next.

🕢 DOORS OPEN 12.45 pm. PLEASE ARRIVE NO LATER THAN 12.50 pm. The film starts promptly at 1pm and lasts 50 minutes.

🗣 Facilitated discussion afterwards. An opportunity to share your thoughts with your community. We previously screened the film in June and the discussion afterwards was hopeful, warm and positive.

This is part of a growing UK wide movement to bring this message to every community and to build public demand for a national broadcast.
