Merley Nature Group works with Hedgehog Friendly Wimborne, who bring an amazing hedgehog‑sightings map to local events.

Please take a moment to look over the map below. You might spot a few yellow dots near Chichester Walk, but we’re sure Merley has even more hedgehog activity than that.

We’re delighted to see the native trees and roses planted a few months ago doing so well on the green by the Lantern Church 🌱🌹

A fantastic turnout in the drizzle this morning, at the green space in between Chichester Walk and Sopwith Crescent, thank you all! 🌳🌱🌸

Your help made getting the trees planted so much quicker. We now have a wonderful mix of hazel, blackthorn, crab apple, wild cherry, wild roses, field maple, and a rowan, along with some crocuses scattered around for good measure 💚 (all trees have been placed with plenty of space still for recreation).

A huge that you to Nisa Local Merley and Making A Difference Locally for their generous donations that made this possible. We’ve got more bird and bat boxes to go up soon, and plenty more exciting things planned for later in the year.
