A big thank you to everyone who came along to support the Wombles’ first Halloween community event! There were some great costumes !!🎃👻

We hope you all had a great time taking part in the Halloween trail and having a go at the challenges. It was lovely to see people getting involved and enjoying a bit of Halloween fun together.

A special mention goes to The Spooky Goose team who took home the prize for best team name! 🪿🎃 This was chosen by our local MP Markus Campbell-Savours MP A big thank you to Marcus for taking the time to get involved and help us choose our winner.

Thank you to everyone who came along, took part donated to the nearly new sale and helped make our first Halloween event happen. Here’s to more community fun from the Wombles! 🧡

The Halloween trail is set, the challenges are ready and we’re getting excited for our very first Wigton Wombles Halloween event tomorrow! 🕷️

Bring your Halloween spirit, fancy dress encouraged 😊 and see if you can complete all the challenges! 🎃

🍂🧹 With the clocks changing, our Wombles are heading indoors for the winter, but not before squeezing in one last bit of community tidying!

The trampoline in the outdoor space was slightly distracting 😂 but with everyone pitching in (and the wonderful Mr O taking on the very important role of Supervisor-in-Chief 👀), they still managed to make a difference!

Mr Os job was clearly to make sure everyone else was working hard while he oversaw operations… someone’s got to be in charge, after all! 🤣👏

Well done, everyone, for giving back to the local community. 💚🍃

🏆🎬 AI Goes to School – Our Childnet Award-Winning Film! 🎬🏆

Back in July, we had the honour of accompanying our Primary EIP group to Disney Headquarters in London for the Childnet Film Competition 2026, where they absolutely smashed it, winning the Primary Category in this national competition!** 🥇

Throughout the day, the children represented themselves, their school and NADT brilliantly. They confidently spoke to judges and guests about their film, what inspired them, how they made it and why they chose to explore the topic of AI in schools. We couldn't have been prouder of them! 👏

The children put so much creativity, teamwork and hard work into bringing their ideas to life, and this award is a fantastic achievement.

So, we thought it was about time we shared their film, "AI Goes to School", with you all! 🍿🤖

💙 **We have some lovely news to share!**

We’re delighted to have been awarded two years of funding from the **Garfield Weston Foundation**, helping towards the costs of the work we do at NADT.

Most importantly, this support will help us continue to be there for the young people we work with giving them opportunities, experiences and support, and helping them to build confidence, develop skills and realise their potential.
