Remember our Betty post back at the beginning of the year?🤔

We thought you would like to know about this great little idea which helps you get rid of those annoying little 5p’s and turns them into life saving work, Genius!🤩

Betty’s 5p pots are a jammy idea for the RNLI, you can save your 5p’s in your pot then bring them into the shop where we can swap a full pot for an empty one!! 🤔

The idea for Betty’s 5p Pots first came from Betty Frith, who was the Honorary Treasurer for over 20 years at the Hertford branch of the (RNLI).

Well, we are delighted to say that since we started this campaign in our new shop in 2024 Betty’s pots have turned into Betty’s Bottle! (no she didn’t take to it🤣) but with such a response and having to keep up with the cause we introduced the drop off bottle so everyone could take their pots home and refill them until the next drop 👏🏻
We are delighted to announce that you have donated over £450 in 5p’s so far this year and we would like to thank everyone, locals, holiday makers and visitors who have brought their jars in and contributed to this brilliant cause, and long may it continue 👏🏻

(Pitty the poor person counting it 😨)

All the money has been forwarded to our Fundraising team, and as it is being well supported we are carrying on our mission to help you to get rid of those annoying little coins, also we presume you are enjoying lots of jam in the process 😋 and we will continue this very lovely campaign through out this year and hopefully beat last year’s bottle drops which raised just over £1200👏👏👏
