Important Safety Message – do not put gas canisters in any of your bins❗

Exploding canisters cause severe safety risks to staff from flying metal shrapnel and sudden fires and can also cause fires in bin lorries and waste processing facilities. 🔥

Gas canisters should be refilled where suitable or returned to the place where you bought them. If you’re unsure about which items are safe to place in your bin, visit: https://www.north-ayrshire.gov.uk/bins-litter-and-recycling/recycling/difficult-to-dispose-of-items

💡 The Warm Home Discount Scheme Winter 2026/2027! 🏡

If you are an eligible customer, you could get a one-off £150 discount applied directly to your electricity bill between November 2026 and March 31, 2027.

▶ Core Group Customers: Scheme opens this October 2026.
▶ Broader Group Customers: Some suppliers have already opened their applications (British Gas & So Energy) – for details, check with your individual supplier.

📢 PUBLIC NOTICE – HAPPY HILLS LANE 🌿🚶‍♀️

Streetscene are undertaking essential maintenance work today in Happy Hills Lane, which runs alongside the Community Centre.

🌿 The vegetation is being cut back, which will hopefully make the lane easier and safer to use for members of our community. The lane will be closed to public access whilst work is completed.

🚶‍♂️ Alternative access:
Members of the community will be able to walk through the Community Centre as an alternative access route while the work is taking place.

📅 The work is expected to be completed by the end of today, Friday 4th September 2026.

Thank you for your patience and understanding while this essential work is carried out.
