It’s Volunteers’ Week, and what better time to say a huge THANK YOU to all
of our amazing volunteers here at CMCC ❤️❤️❤️
Every conversation, cup of tea, activity, smile, and helping hand makes a real
difference to our community. Your kindness, time, and dedication help make
CMCC the welcoming and supportive place it is.
We truly couldn’t do what we do without you — thank you for everything you
bring to our community each and every day.

🚨 Safety Reminder – St Nicholas Park 🚨
We’re aware of ongoing incidents involving people jumping from bridges into the river at St Nicholas Park over the last few days and going forward into the summer.

Our officers are carrying out regular patrols in the area to monitor the situation and provide reassurance. However, there are limited enforcement options available unless specific offences are being committed.

That said, this behaviour poses a serious risk to personal safety. Water depth can vary, hidden hazards may be present, and cold water shock can occur even in warmer weather.

While enjoying the park, we’d also ask everyone to be mindful of their surroundings — keep noise levels reasonable, take litter home or use the bins provided, and be respectful of others who are using the space.

We would strongly urge anyone visiting the park to think carefully about the risks and help keep themselves and others safe.

Thank you to everyone who continues to enjoy the park responsibly. 🌳
