Packmores Community Centre

Packmores Community Centre We are guided and supported by residents and volunteers to provide services and opportunities.

This a community centre which services The Packmores and Wedgnock Green residents and the homes close to Warwick Hospital. The centre is managed by The Gap charity, which is based not too far away near Spinney Hill, Warwick. We are a small centre with a focus on the local community and as a base for beyond, into Warwick West. We work together with the WCC Children's Services, Councillors (County,

District and Town), WDC Housing and Warwickshire Churches to get the best for the locals and their families.

Today, it has been announced that the energy price cap will increase by 4% from 1 October. We know this will be difficult for some people. If you are worried about today’s news, there are a number of services available that can support households and help make homes more energy efficient.

Our partners, which include Groundwork, Citizens Advice, HOPE 4U, and Act on Energy UK, all specialise in providing local support that meets the needs of the community in which they serve.

They also have access to our £1m Warm Fund, which offers immediate relief, including energy efficiency bundles to use at home.

Find out more about the support available on our website >> https://orlo.uk/XY2en

What a fantastic Community Fun Day!

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us at Community fun day with Packmores Community Centre. It was brilliant to see so many people from the community coming together, enjoying the activities, food, music and sunshine.

A very special thank you to all our volunteers who worked incredibly hard throughout the day, from setting up and welcoming people to cooking, serving, running stalls and helping with the big clear-up afterwards. We really could not have done it without you.
And, of course, a huge thank you to all our fantastic partners who helped make the day so special:

Priory Pools Community Centre for joining us and giving residents the chance to meet the builder of our new community centre. It is getting closer now and we are so excited to see it coming to life!

Spa'kulele for bringing such lively music and a brilliant atmosphere to the park.

ARC - Achieving Results in Communities CIC for all the work you do to make our local green spaces better and for getting the community involved.

Collegiate Church of St Mary, Warwick for helping to keep everyone fed!

Saltisford Church for the wonderful contribution of food and toys for the children. It was very much appreciated!

Brink Contemporary Arts for bringing creativity and colour to the area and helping brighten up our community.

Residents for organising some brilliant stalls, including the tombola, Pick a stick and craft activities.

Warwickshire County Record Office for sharing some of our local history and helping residents discover more about the stories and memories connected to their area.

Dance for bringing fantastic dancing, music and energy to the afternoon.

And a special thank you to everyone who entered our Cake Competition. We had more than 10 entries, all completely different, creative and delicious. With just five prizes to award, our judges certainly did not have an easy job!

Most importantly, thank you to everyone who came along and made the day what it was. Seeing the park full of people chatting, laughing and enjoying themselves was exactly what the day was all about.

A few snapshots from a brilliant afternoon at Priory Pools Park. Thank you again to everyone who helped make it happen Packmores Community Centre!
