We were contacted today by someone who had gone to a website to arrange a meet and greet, and were asked to make a payment to book a meet-and-greet with a dog.

Please be extremely cautious and make sure you read any information thoroughly before agreeing to anything or making any payments.

We do not charge for meet-and-greets, applications, or reservations. The only payment we ever request is an adoption fee once the adoption process has been completed.

We also do not currently have a website, as this is still a work in progress.

We understand there are some other rescues out there with a similar name as ours, but over in America, this is why we are called Wags and Whiskers Rescue UK

Hi there , my name is Pickle. 🐾

I’m about 5 or 6 years old, and I’m a very small girl with an even smaller voice. My past wasn't very kind to me, and sometimes it shows because I can be a bit timid and shy. But please don’t let that worry you—deep down, I am the sweetest, gentlest girl you’ll ever meet.

I’ve decided that I’m ready to find my "forever" person. Could that be you?

A little bit about me:

- I’m a professional cuddler: My favorite place in the whole world is a warm lap. If you’re sitting down, I’ll be there.

- I love my humans and do not really like to share them, I can be nervous around other dogs, so will need to be an only dog in the home.

- I am very nervous around children and will need to be homes with older children only

- I’m a foodie: Treats are the way to my heart. If you have snacks, we’re going to be best friends.

- I’m a great passenger: I absolutely love the car! I’m ready for any quiet adventure you want to take me on.

- I’m a "slow-mo" kind of girl: I don’t need long hikes or high energy. A low-to-medium energy home is perfect for me.

I’m still learning about house training—sometimes I forget, but I’m trying really hard and getting better every single day. Because I’ve had a tough time before, I really need a quiet home where things aren't too scary or loud.

The humans here at Wags and Whiskers know all about my history, and they’ll tell you everything once we see if we’re a match. For now, all you need to know is that I have so much love to give, and I’m just waiting for someone to be gentle with me in return.

She is vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered.

Peggy would suit a quiet home, as she can be a little nervous around loud noises. She is good with other dogs and children, although any children in the home will need to be over 10 years old.

Peggy is a loving dog who just wants to find her forever people and will make a very loyal companion.

🐾 "I promise I’m a good boy, I’m just a little lost..." – Love, Bruce 🐾

Look at these eyes—don't they tell you I've been through a lot? I’m Bruce, a 2-year-old poodle mix, and I’m searching for a human who won't give up on me.

My past was dark. I was starved so badly that I thought i had to eat clothes just to survive. Because of that, I carry some heavy baggage. I get scared of new people and strangers coming into my house, and sometimes I "snap" because I’m trying to protect myself. The rescue calls it fear aggression, but with the right leader, I know I can feel safe again.

I am looking for a very specific "forever" because I’ve been let down before through no fault of my own. My last home didn't work out, and I need this next one to be my last.

What I need in a home:

- A Confident Leader: I need someone who loves structure, clear boundaries, and a solid routine. It helps me feel secure.

- An Understanding Heart: I am muzzle trained and need someone who isn't afraid to use it while we work on my trust.

- Peace and Quiet: A home with no children is a must so I can stay calm.

- Company: I’m not keen on being left alone, so I’d love a home where someone is around often.

The good news?

- ✅ I am fully vaccinated.
- 🐕 I am great with other dogs!
- 🐈 I’m friendly with cats too.
- ❤️ Once you earn my trust, I am the most loving, loyal boy you could ever imagine.

I’m a "complicated" boy, but I have so much love to give to the person who is patient enough to find it. Will you be my hero?

Little sweet pea is very touch and go and is being monitored round the clock, with extra help to help him survive 😢
