Well done to our Cog riders representing us this weekend at the Brits 2026, you should all be proud of your achievements

As the summer holidays come to an end, we wanted to share some of what young people at COG have been doing.

They’ve been getting their hands dirty learning how to repair donated second-hand bikes. Brakes, gears, punctures, the lot.

Once each bike has been repaired and properly safety checked by our mechanics, we pass it on to a local good cause that can help it reach a child who needs one.

The young person fixing the bike learns useful skills and gets the good feeling that comes from helping somebody else. Another child gets a bike of their own, with all the fun and freedom that can bring.

A second hand bike can still be somebody’s first bike.
