BSA Sport Support BSA Sport Support runs projects for children and adults, through delivering a wide range of sport related activities.

Some of our players at BSA Sport Support have a wide range of disabilities and so we have devised a course that helps our coaches and volunteers communicate through Expressive Communication: which is a collaboration of BSL and Signing for Sport.

We are delighted to announce that BOOST CT have agreed to sponsor our Wirral Boccia League league for a further year. Thank you so much. Great news for Boccia Wirral Bidston Bullets Wallasey Redcaps Hilbre Islanders and Hoylake Sunsets. Matches played between September and end of November. Limited spaces available for new players. Best of the league get to compete in the National Pan Disability League in 2027.

Live at Leasowe Leisure Centre yesterday we delivered a Co-ordin8 session using 8 different types of ball to help with catching and throwing.
Dodgeball, basketball, handball, beachball, netball, boccia ball , baseball and pickleball. Thanks to BSA Sport Support Wirral Pickleball Boccia Wirral and Social Badminton Wirral SENSE who provided the resources. Plus we managed to fit in Fun with Flags and rounders.

🌞 HAF Summer Holiday Club is Back! 🌞

Active Wirral is delighted to confirm a 4-week Holiday Activity Fund (HAF) Programme this summer at Bidston Sports & Activity Centre.

📅 Monday 27 July – Thursday 20 August
🗓️ Monday to Thursday
⏰ 10am – 2pm
👧🧒 Ages 8–15 years
💷 Free activities for 4 weeks

HAF is the perfect opportunity for young people to stay active, make new friends and have fun throughout the summer holidays.

🏸 Activities include:
⚽ Football/ Tennis
🏉 Rugby
🏃 Tag Active
🏸 Badminton
🏏 Cricket

Our energetic and professional coaches will be on hand to ensure each day is packed with fun, activity and opportunities to build confidence and friendships in a safe and welcoming environment.

🥪 Lunch will be provided for all children attending.
✅ Booking is essential and parental consent is required.

Places are limited, so book early to avoid disappointment!

**ONE MONTH TO GO!**

The English OPEN is coming to Birmingham.

In just one month, thousands of players will arrive at the NEC for the biggest English OPEN yet.

62 courts. Three halls. Players from across the world. Elite and amateur competition, unforgettable matches and an atmosphere unlike anything we have created before.

The countdown is officially on — and the question is:

"Will you be on court, or wishing you had registered?"

Just like Birmingham’s famous Bull, this event will be bold, powerful and impossible to ignore.

This is more than a tournament. It is six days of competition, connection, celebration and pickleball on a scale never seen before in England.

Entries are filling, the excitement is building and there is still time to be part of it — but not for much longer - registration closes 24th July.

Don’t watch everyone else’s English OPEN memories appear on your feed knowing you could have been there.
