Unfortunately our booked speaker Mike Sweeting is unable to be with us this week, so Jo Golby has kindly agreed to move her talk forward from September. We hope Mike can join us in September in her place.
Jo is an excellent speaker and will be talking on the subject of 'Top to Toe- The price of vanity'.
We will learn about the products used to improve the appearance of people throughout history. Jo will be dressed as a Victorian ladies maid and will bring with her a collection of fashionable unctions and lotions that men and women put on their skin. Some of these were very poisonous and no one would think of using them today!….. would they?? They included things like lead oxide, arsenic etc.

All women welcome. Your first meeting is free to try us out, then £5 per meeting if just visiting or you can take up membership. We love to see new people, so come and make new friends!

Free training! 😁
Currently, only 1 in every 20 adults is confident of being able to offer help if someone collapses in their presence.
Improve the odds by getting yourself some knowledge on what to do and help us ensure that ‘Bystanders Can be Lifesavers ‘.
As scary as it can be when someone collapses, being prepared can literally save a life!

The meeting on Wednesday 1st October at Ketton Sports and Community Centre is open to all Ketton residents of all ages.
Tea, coffee, soft drinks and cake provided. We would love you to join us to learn new skills, gain confidence in CPR and learn where to find your local defibrillators.
