A new study we funded at the University of Oxford shows that having the amount of calcium in a large glass of milk every day could lower bowel cancer risk by nearly 20%.

In the largest study ever conducted on the links between diet and bowel cancer, calcium from both dairy and non-dairy sources had a similar effect.

These results help to highlight the importance of a healthy balanced diet in reducing cancer risk and supporting long-term health.

Research has found that more than half of bowel cancer cases are preventable. New findings, like this study by Oxford Population Health, are an important step towards ensuring fewer people are impacted by cancer in the future.

Amazing work from the University of Oxford 💜

Yesterday we held our Christmas Craft Fair at Welland Mews in Stamford. It was well attended and a total of £660.60 was raised for cancer research UK. The stalls were fabulous selling Christmas decorations, doorstops, cuddling le cushions, beautiful scarves and necklaces, wooden crafts along with Christmas cards , homemade cakes and a fantastic tombola stall. We were also supported by the Knitters for Ukraine group who make beautiful knitted goods and handmade other sewn gifts with all proceeds going to help those who are in need in Ukraine 🇺🇦.
Thank you for all the support both by stall holders, members of Burghley Park and Peterborough ladies CRUK and all who attended to shop!!

Come along and join us at our Christmas craft fair on Friday 6th December 11am to 3pm welland mews Stamford PE9 2LW
