DISCO SUPERVISOR VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

Artytime now seek volunteers to assist in the running of their new youth disco, and to help out the DJ at each disco.

These events will take place on the 2nd Saturday of the month, with the first being Sat 13th June.

Volunteers will be needed before the start time to help set up.

We have a wide range of roles on our website, and one particular sector is that of Retailing including various Backroom and Warehouse roles.

BEFRIENDING CONNECTIONS VOLUNTEERS SOUGHT

Age UK East Sussex is an independent charity working in East Sussex to offer support and services to older people. They want to make East Sussex a great place to grow older.

They now need volunteers for their exciting new face-to-face Befriending Connections Service.

- Applicants must be 18 years or over for this role
- Basic DBS check is required, which will be covered by Age UK.
- Travel expenses will be paid.

ROAD CLOSURE MARSHALS NEEDED

As a non-profit organisation, Uckfield Bonfire & Carnival Society fundraise in order to put on next year’s event, and any money raised that is left over is donated to local charities. In previous years this has amounted to several £000s being donated.

They now seek friendly marshals aged 18 years or older for this year's event.

Note: you will need to be comfortable standing for several hours, as well as communicating with members of the public to explain the road closures and for how long they will be closed - along with any diversions.

Today we turn the spotlight on the Civil Aviation Trust.

The Civil Aviation Trust is a not for profit charitable organisation that has been formed to save and preserve civil airliners from around the world for the benefit of the general public through interactive and educational displays.

They are a small but growing team of volunteers all with the same aim, to help preserve aviation history for future generations to enjoy. Although civil aviation is not as glamorous as military aviation it still plays an important role in making the world smaller and enabling us to jump on an aeroplane and go and enjoy some summer sun.

Currently based near Staplecross in East Sussex.

MUSICIANS NEEDED

This is a call for musicians for a "Battle of the Bands" Fundraising Event.

Artytime, a not for profit organisation is dedicated to bringing arts and crafts to all ages and abilities. They save useful items from going to landfill by running a community scrapstore for members and the general public to visit. The store is full of art and craft items which they can take for their own projects.

They are now organising a "Battle of the Bands" competition, and are looking for local bands to compete.

The winner earns their own gig!
