Here's a reminder that we're closed today due to the bank holiday.

If you need support, you don't have to face things alone. There are people ready to listen and help you in a way that feels right for you.

We'll be back at 9am tomorrow 💜🧡

👏This deserves a standing ovation (even if it's about sitting down!)

Thank you to Gem, Stefan and the utterly epic team at Herman Miller in Melksham for donating these chairs to our charity.

They'll be put to good use in our offices and group support sessions. We're very grateful for your generosity.

In Honour of Grace Millane 💜

These gorgeous handbags, packed to the brim with toiletries , were donated to our charity by the Connecting Women Network. They supported the Love Grace x
Handbag Appeal, which was created in honour of Grace Millane, who was murdered in New Zealand in 2018.

The handbags will provide much needed items to survivors of domestic abuse who may have been forced to flee with nothing. It can take time to replace the things that so many of us take for granted like a nice handbag or a perfume that makes you feel good, so a huge thank you to the amazing women and the Love Grace appeal who made this happen.

If you'd like to get involved with the Love Grace appeal, please take a look at their website and find out more about the wonderful work they do.

🚨Event Update 🚨

This isn't the update we wanted to share, but due to urgent water works our first ever bungee jump is postponed until 22 November.

Thank you to everyone who has signed up, we are sorry for the inconvenience this may cause.

The silver lining is that our November jump is now officially a festive bungee! so expect questionable Christmas jumpers and mince pies galore 🎄

Thank you for your support 🧡💜

Officers and staff from across Wiltshire Police have been working with domestic abuse, sexual violence and stalking charity FearFree as part of the We Rise programme.

The programme aims to empower colleagues from under-represented groups within the Force to develop their skills and confidence.

As part of the programme, attendees were given two days to deliver a community engagement project. Support Officer Jennifer Crossley, PC Rachel Gunn, Contact Centre Operator Ellie Katsande, Response Officer PC Thomas and Detective Sergeant Alice St Johnston spent that time contacting and visiting businesses across Wiltshire to raise awareness of FearFree's work supporting survivors of domestic abuse and helping employers support affected members of staff.

Support Officer Jennifer Crossley said: "Although we come from different backgrounds and roles across Wiltshire Police, we share a passion for tackling domestic abuse.

"We approached FearFree because we were inspired by the vital work they do. When we asked how we could best support them, they highlighted their RISE programme, which helps survivors of domestic abuse find and remain in employment.

"Over the course of two days, we visited and contacted 100 businesses across Wiltshire to raise awareness of FearFree's services and the support available to both employees experiencing domestic abuse and the employers who want to help them.

"Despite arriving at many businesses unannounced to discuss a sensitive and serious subject, we were overwhelmed by the positive and engaging response we received."

Thank you to all the businesses that took the time to speak with the team and showed a genuine commitment to supporting members of their workforce who may be affected by domestic abuse.
