A youth centre isn't really the building.

It's knowing who's going to be there when you walk through the door.

Consistent youth work allows relationships to develop slowly, sometimes over months or years.

That means that when something does go wrong, a young person already knows an adult they trust.

That's why consistency matters.

Last nights session was full of creativity, teamwork and a little bit of messy! Exactly how we like it!

In the kitchen, the young people made their own cookie dough, getting hands on with measuring, mixing and shaping. Over in the craft space, we carried on building our papier-mâché hot air balloons, adding more layers and bringing the designs to life.

It was great to see everyone getting stuck in, trying things for themselves and enjoying the process. A bit of flour, glue and creativity goes a long way!

On Monday, our children’s group got creative with papier-mâché hot air balloons before putting their detective skills to the test with a murder mystery challenge! 🎈🕵️‍♀️

It was brilliant to see everyone getting stuck in, making, problem-solving, working together and having fun along the way.

A great session full of imagination, teamwork and a few dramatic accusations… 👀

A great Monday session with our young people this week.

Across the session, young people got involved in planning ideas for future activities, helping to shape what’s coming up and sharing what they’d like to see more of.

There was also a beat-making challenge, with 20 minutes to create an 8-bar loop. We heard some brilliant ideas, lots of creativity and a healthy bit of competition along the way.

Meanwhile, in the kitchen, we were making milkshakes, which went down really well.

A lovely mix of creativity, teamwork and fun.
