🎃🍂 WHAT AN ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC WEEK! 🍂🎃

What a wonderful week we’ve had at Compassionate Care, Day and Home Services! ❤️ Full of laughter, adventures, delicious food and lots of happy memories! 🥰

💛 Marvellous Monday! We enjoyed chutney making, fun group quizzes and a delicious homemade stew! 🥘

☕ Terrific Tuesday! A lovely visit to St Mary’s Church coffee morning, followed by a beautiful afternoon walk along the river! 🍂

🎃 Wonderful Wednesday! Pumpkin picking at the amazing Daynes Farm, complete with a lovely hot drink! Back at the centre, we enjoyed a yummy lasagne followed by bread making! 🍞

🐷 Thrilling Thursday! We loved Daynes Farm so much we went back for more pumpkins! We also enjoyed feeding the pigs and warming up with a delicious hot chocolate! ☕

🎃 Funday Friday! What a fantastic end to the week! Pumpkin carving brought lots of laughter, creativity and friendly competition! 😂 We also made some delicious pumpkin soup to enjoy with our homemade bread! 🥣🍞

❤️ A HUGE THANK YOU to Daynes Farm for so kindly giving us our wonderful pumpkins! 🎃 We had the best time visiting, and everyone is still talking about it! Such a friendly team, a fantastic farm shop and a lovely place for a hot drink and a bite to eat. We can’t recommend it enough! 🥰

💜🌟 Another Fabulous Week at Compassionate Care Day & Home Services! 🌟💜

What a busy and fun-filled week we’ve had! From steam train adventures to seaside treats, baking and a little friendly competition, there’s been plenty of laughter, smiles and special moments along the way! 🥰

🧩 Monday – Puzzles, Games & Fresh Air!

We started the week with puzzles, games and plenty of chatter. Some of us even wrapped up warm and braved the chilly weather for a refreshing walk! ❄️

🚂 Tuesday – Hot Chocolate & Steam Train Adventures!

What a treat Tuesday was! We headed to Dartington for a warming hot chocolate and a game of pairs before setting off on a rather exciting afternoon adventure!

We climbed aboard the steam train for a journey from Buckfastleigh to Totnes and back again. There were smiles all around, beautiful scenery to enjoy and plenty of laughter along the way. A real highlight of our week! 💜

⛪ Wednesday – Good Company & a Little Exploring!

Our morning was spent enjoying games, conversations and each other’s company. After a delicious sausage casserole for lunch, some of the group headed to Dartington Church for a peaceful look around.

🌊 Thursday – Sunshine, Sea Air & Doughnuts! 🍩

We made the most of some welcome sunshine with a trip to Paignton Harbour. A gentle stroll, fresh sea air and a delicious doughnut made for a very enjoyable outing. Sometimes it’s the simple pleasures that bring the biggest smiles! ☀️

🍪 Friday – Cookies, Chaos & Competition! 🎈🏆

Storm Austen certainly wasn’t going to dampen our spirits!

We started the morning baking chocolate chip cookies, with everyone mucking in to create some tasty treats.

The afternoon brought a hilarious game of balloon volleyball, with plenty of enthusiastic moves and giggles!

We rounded off the week with a 30-question team quiz, where the competitive spirit came out as everyone battled for the Compassionate Care Trophy! 🏆

💜 And that’s another week wrapped up!

From our adventures out and about to the laughter shared around the table, it’s these moments of friendship, togetherness and fun that make our days so special.

Happy faces, happy memories and plenty of giggles — just how we like it! 🥰💜

💚 What a fabulous day we had on Saturday at Compassionate Care Day & Home Services! 💚

Our wonderful team were joined by members of Totnes Caring and VMS Torbay Car Garage for a fantastic day of Level 3 First Aid at Work training, delivered by the brilliant Essential 6! 🚑👏

It was a day filled with learning, laughter, teamwork and the opportunity to build new friendships and connections within our local community. ❤️

At Compassionate Care, the safety, wellbeing and dignity of those we support are always at the heart of everything we do. That’s why it’s so important to us that our team has the knowledge, confidence and practical skills to respond when someone needs us most. 💚

A huge thank you to Essential 6 for delivering such engaging, informative and enjoyable training. You made learning potentially lifesaving skills both memorable and fun!

And a big thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the day such a success. 🥰

Because when every second counts, having the confidence, knowledge and skills to make a difference really does matter. 💚

💜🌸 Another Fun-Filled Week at Compassionate Care Day & Home Services! 🌸💜

What another wonderful week we’ve had, filled with laughter, friendship, creativity and lovely trips out! 🥰

🎨 Monday – We kicked off the week with puzzles, arts and crafts and a hilarious impromptu ball-throwing game that had everyone in stitches! 🤣 We also collected an incredibly generous donation from Refurnish, and everyone loved exploring our new goodies! 🎁

☀️ Tuesday – We enjoyed a lovely trip to the Watermans Arms at Bow Bridge, soaking up the glorious sunshine by the water with a delicious hot drink and wonderful company. ☕💕

🍂 Wednesday – A fun morning of activities, followed by a warming stew for lunch, then an afternoon visit to the beautiful Buckfast Abbey to explore the grounds and enjoy a coffee. 🌿

🧩 Thursday – While some of our staff refreshed their Manual Handling training, everyone at the centre enjoyed art, reading, puzzles and plenty of lovely conversation. 💜

🐟 Friday – What a fantastic end to the week! Friendships continue to blossom, and it’s so lovely to see. 🥰 We finished our colourful paper chain, explored our newly donated books, puzzles and games, and got competitive with a 30-question Totnes quiz that really tested our local knowledge! 🏆 We then tucked into delicious fish and chips, followed by a riverside walk for those who fancied some fresh air. 🍟🌳

🍁 With the colder mornings and rainy days creeping in, we’re already thinking of cosy activities and exciting places to visit as the seasons change. A little rain certainly won’t stop our fun! ☔

🎄 Our Christmas Fair is getting closer, and we’re getting excited! 🎅✨

We now have just 3 stalls left to hire! If you’d love to join us, send us a message to book your space. ❤️

👗 We’ve started collecting clothes for our clothes swap stall! Having a clear-out? We’d love your clean clothes in good condition. Drop them into the centre, or send us a message and we’ll try to arrange collection, we will exchange for a voucher to choose some new clothes on the day.

🎁 We’re also looking for bric-a-brac donations and raffle prizes. Every donation, big or small, would be so appreciated!

🌸💜 What a Week at Compassionate Care Day & Home Services! 💜🌸

Another wonderful week filled with fun, friendship, laughter and, of course, plenty of delicious food! 🥰

🍳 Monday – We kicked off the week with a full English breakfast before heading to the seaside for some lovely fresh sea air! 🌊

🧁 Tuesday – A morning of baking delicious cakes followed by a lovely picnic at Follaton Arboretum! 🌳

🎨 Wednesday – A busy day at the centre with arts and crafts, puzzles and team crosswords to get our brains working! Our sausage casserole was described as “one of the best meals yet!” 😋 We finished with some fun, active group games!

🌸 Thursday – We got creative pressing flowers for our handmade bookmarks, enjoyed some reading and a game of bowls, followed by a delicious ham, egg and chips lunch!

🎉 Friday – A little bit of everything! More flower pressing, bookmark making, baking, quizzes and puzzles! After a yummy roast dinner, we enjoyed some competitive bingo, group games, plenty of giggles and for some, a visit to see the animals! 🐾

💜 And some exciting news! 💜

We’re delighted to welcome the wonderful Shelley to our Compassionate Care family! 🥰 Shelley brings many years of nursing experience, a wealth of knowledge and an absolutely fantastic sense of humour! We already know she’s going to fit right in! Welcome to the team, Shelley! ❤️

🌈 What a fantastic week! So many smiles, friendships and special memories made. It’s these little moments that make what we do so rewarding! 💕

🎄 We’re so excited to be hosting our very first Christmas Fête at Compassionate Care, Day and Home Services LTD on the 5th December! 🎄

We hope to see lots of you there for some festive fun! Over the next few weeks, we’ll be sharing more about the exciting stalls and activities we have planned—including a surprise visitor for the little ones! 🎅✨

👗 We’re also excited to announce we will be hosting a Clothes Swap at the Christmas Fete! Bring your preloved clothes to the centre before the fête and receive a voucher to swap for something lovely on the day. Haven’t brought anything to swap? You can still pick up items at bargain prices!

🛍️ We still have a few stalls available, so please message us if you’d like to book a space.

🌟 WHAT A SPECTACULAR WEEK AT COMPASSIONATE CARE! 🌟

It’s been another wonderful week at Compassionate Care Day and Home Service Ltd, filled with fun, laughter, delicious food and lots of happy memories! 💜

🌳 Monday
We started our week with a lovely stroll to the park, where we enjoyed our morning fruit and some fresh air. Back at the centre, we tucked into a delicious chicken pie for lunch before enjoying an afternoon of games and reading together. 🥧🎲

⛪ Wednesday
A few of us headed out for a fantastic trip to Buckfast Abbey, while those who stayed at the centre got creative with some wonderful artwork and put their knowledge to the test with a quiz! 🎨🧠

We all came together for a team crossword, with plenty of fun and laughter along the way! ❤️

🚂 Thursday
We enjoyed getting out and about again with a beautiful walk by the river and a visit to see the Totnes steam train. A lovely day spent enjoying the scenery and each other’s company. 🌿

🍕 Friday
What an AMAZING, fun-filled day to finish the week!

We spent the morning making our very own pizza dough before adding all our favourite toppings to create some delicious homemade pizzas. While we waited for the dough to rise, we enjoyed some arts and crafts. 🎨🍕

After lunch, things got competitive with a brilliant game of balloon volleyball, followed by a fun game of bingo — with some lucky winners even receiving their very own trophies! 🏆🎈👏

💐 We also have some exciting news!

This week, we welcomed the wonderful Laurel to our Compassionate Care team! ❤️

Laurel will be joining us three days a week and brings with her a wonderful background in care, along with lots of experience, kindness and enthusiasm. She also happens to have previous experience working as a chef, which is a lovely extra skill she can bring to some of our cooking activities and mealtimes! 🥰

We’re delighted to have Laurel as part of the team and look forward to all the fun and happy memories ahead. 💜

If you sell arts and crafts, jewellery, handmade gifts, festive treats or something else lovely, we’d love to hear from you. Spaces are limited, so please get in quick to book your table!

We’re looking forward to welcoming everyone to Compassionate Care Day Centre for a festive day out, with local stalls, Christmas cheer and Father Christmas in his grotto! 🎅✨
