🌱✊ On Thursday 15th October, 6-9pm, the Devon Commune of Anna's House is hosting an event for our community & collaborators at the Maltings Taphouse, where we will be screening a call with comrades from La Sao. ✊ 🌱
La Sao is an organisation of militants aiming to develop a popular revolutionary movement to build democratic society in Catalonia. Like Anna's House, La Sao are inspired by the Kurdistan Freedom Movement together with other revolutionary movements and are translating those ideas into their own context. One of their aims is to build confederations in existing social movements, and they have successfully leaded the creation a housing confederation in Catalonia. www.lasao.cat
⚡⚡"We are La Saó, a revolutionary organization of militants in the Catalan Countries. We believe that revolutionary organizations have the responsibility to propose ideological and strategic proposals that respond to the current moment, that activate and articulate the different subjects, that give us a unitary framework to fight against all forms of domination and that lead us towards the Free Life, a way of life without any type of domination."⚡⚡
Some of us met with comrades from La Sao in Catalonia in June and were so inspired by their organising.
We are excited to be learning more from them and to share in that with our current and future collaborators and local community.
Join us at the Maltings in Newton Abbott at 6pm. The call at 6.30-8pm which will then be followed by an hour to debrief and discuss what we have heard for an hour following the call.
We’ll have a pot luck, please bring a plate to share if you can and bring a bowl/plate and fork!!
The Maltings is a 6 minute walk from Newton Abbott train station. We will also be sharing lifts, so get in touch if you want to share the journey.
