Well done Falkirk Council 💙

Life-saving defibrillators will soon be available 24/7 at every Falkirk Council primary and secondary school. ❤️

We’re installing 37 new external defibrillators, making this vital equipment available to the whole community when every second counts.

Installation begins in January 2027, while pupils will also learn how defibrillators can help save lives in an emergency.

On Sunday we had the pleasure of meeting up with Linda Struthers, Linda has been amazing in keeping Aidens legacy alive in the Bantaskine area where he worked as the community Police officer. It was a pleasure to meet with Linda and hear about her new challenge where she will be taking on the Glen Ogle Ultra Marathon. Linda is raising money for the Aiden Joyce Memorial Fund! 🏃‍♀️

For those of you who don’t know much about ultra marathons- Linda will be running 33 miles! That’s around 53k!!

A little challenge with a very special reason behind it 💙

I’m taking on the Glen Ogle Ultra Marathon in November — something I had already signed up for — but after spending some time chatting with Lorraine today, I felt even more determined to use the challenge to raise something for the Aiden Joyce Memorial Fund and support the incredible work she continues to do in Aiden’s memory.

Aiden was our community police officer here in Bantaskine, and our local park was created in his memory.

The fund supports heart screening for young people aged 14–35, helping to identify potentially undiagnosed heart conditions and hopefully prevent other families experiencing the heartbreak of losing someone unexpectedly.

So I’ve set up a GoFundMe, with all money raised being given directly to Lorraine for the Aiden Joyce Memorial Fund. ❤️

If you can spare anything at all, I’d be incredibly grateful. And if you can’t donate, even sharing the fundraiser would mean so much.

Thank you to David, Zara, Sally Turnbull for their continued support and kind donation of £705 raised at their Darts event in memory of Jason, this allows us to keep getting young people's hearts tested in our community, well done to everyone who took part in this event it was a great day 💙 x

WHAT A DAY!🔥

Incredible day on Saturday for the uGym Games 2026. This year we saw same s*x teams competing, all in aid of the Aidan Joyce Memorial Fund.

We witnessed five tough events being absolutely smashed by the athletes, with personal bests achieved, comfort zones pushed and an incredible spirit of competition throughout the day.

One of the best parts of the event was seeing such a mix of people taking part - from experienced athletes to those competing in their very first event. Teams came together, many meeting each other for the first time on the day, while others stepped up at the last minute to make sure teams were complete. It perfectly captured the community spirit that makes events like this so special.

Together, we raised almost £3,000 for Lorraine Joyce and her family - a fantastic achievement and a testament to everyone’s generosity and support.

Next year, let’s make it even bigger and better. We’d love to see more people get involved and help us continue growing this amazing event.

We can’t thank everyone enough who helped make this year’s Games such a success - from the athletes and supporters to the volunteers, judges, sponsors, and everyone working behind the scenes. Your efforts made the day what it was, and we’re already looking forward to 2027 💙💪🏅
