We braved the rain for a wet forest school session this morning. Even our blazing fire 🔥😄 couldn't keep us warm and dry - but jumping in puddles on the walk back kept our spirits up!

A small bit of fire pit practice at FS this morning. Mr Cullum made a very small fire while our pre schoolers sat and did some excellent listening about fire safety rules. We then took it in turns to practice how to kneel safely by the fire. Fire is not a large part of our Forest school practice - but we do introduce it occasionally.

We continued or exploration of spiders and spider webs this morning. We searched for and spotted lots of webs in the damp grass before enjoying a snack and a story - The Very Busy Spider. We used white yarn to create our own webs - judged by our very own (preserved) giant spider (who said they were all fantastic 😊!)

Our pre schoolers have been busy this week decorating plant pots to grow a hyacinth 🪻 in time for Christmas 🤞.

We shall be looking after them over the coming weeks, and watching them grow. We look forward to watching them bloom - the variety of colours will be a nice surprise!

Our toddlers have been busy practicing their cutting skills on autumn leaves to create autumnal sun catchers. What a fab idea from our Toddler room xx

We've been on a spider hunt this morning. After reading the story The Very Busy Spider - we went on a spider hunt, made a giant spider from branches, and spun a web of yarn for it.
