Long Lane PTA

The Long Lane Primary School Association comprises of willing parents and staff who raise money for the school and have some fun along the way!

The money we raise is used to fund extra projects across the school that directly benefit our children. We organise various fun events ranging from our traditional family Christmas fair to more parent-oriented activities like our popular Quiz nights. We usually run a licensed bar at school performances several times a year. Towards the end of the summer term is the Year 6 Leavers' play at which we

organise an al-fresco supper for parents and friends which is a great way to finish the year. Why not come along to an event or join the Committee? For more information email us via Facebook or contact the school! Guidelines for use:

- Please only post items that are related to the School Associations remit of fundraising and social events.
- Photos can only be uploaded by an administrator so please email any photos for inclusion to the school office.

🎉 WANTED: Tombola Prizes! 🎉

A huge thank you to everyone who’s already donated- you absolute stars. 🌟 We’re so grateful for every single item that’s come our way.

We’re still on the hunt for a few more goodies to make our tombola irresistible.
So if you’re popping into a shop this weekend, or you’ve got any unwanted gifts hiding in a drawer (the ones that have been silently judging you since Christmas…), we’d love to rehome them!

Think along the lines of:
✨ Toiletries
✨ Candles
✨ Gift sets
✨ Tins of biscuits
✨ Anything new/unused

Big or small, silly or sensible — every donation helps and will make someone smile and raise money for Long Lane School!
Drop straight into the office and we’ll collect from there.

Raffle books went home in bags earlier this week. You can grab more books from our PTA donation desk each morning this week, or from the office.

Don’t forget donations this week!
Got an unwanted gift from Auntie Doris? A bottle of something no one will ever drink? Soft toys taking over the house? Send them our way and turn clutter into prizes for the kids.

🌟 We’re collecting:

🧸 Clean, good‑quality teddies

🍷 Bottles (wine, alcohol or other)

🧴 New toiletries

🫙 Filled jars (sweets, toys, craft bits)

PTA will be at school by the bikes each morning collecting, or you can drop donations at the office anytime.
All items should be new/nearly new and in date. Thank you for helping make the fair amazing.

Donation week - w/c 15th June

Next week we will be on hand to collect your donations for the fair. Please bring along items that will help us raise money and create some brilliant prizes and activities.

🌟 We’re looking for:
- 🧸 Teddies (new or clean and good quality)
- 🍷 Bottles (Wine, Alcohol or other bottles)
- 🧴 Toiletries (new and unopened)
- 🫙 Filled jars (sweets, small toys, craft bits — get creative!)

To keep everything safe, fun, and prize‑ready, please make sure all donations are new or nearly new and in date.

We have some brilliant prizes for you to win in our raffle, including a top cash prize of £100! There’s also days out vouchers, treats and experiences, signed Reading FC goodies and more!

🤞🏼Raffle books will go home in bags early next week and books will be available in the school office, and for sale on the day.

🎪 Only 27 days to go— the countdown is officially ON!
Saturday 27th June is nearly here, and we’re gearing up for an amazing afternoon of fun.

⏰ Fair opens at 12pm
Enjoy games, stalls, tasty food, and a fully stocked bar — perfect for families and friends to make a day of it.

🎭 Show starts at 2:30pm
Happy Circus will be bringing their brilliant, high‑energy show packed with acrobatics, comedy, circus skills, and plenty of surprises. It’s colourful, fast-paced, and guaranteed to keep everyone entertained.

🎪ROLL UP, ROLL UP...THE CIRCUS IS COMING TO LONG LANE! 🎪

On Saturday 27th June 2026, we will be bringing the big top to Long Lane Primary School in Purley on Thames as Happy's Circus rolls into town! 🤡

The show begins at 2:30pm but join us from 12:00pm for food stalls, a licensed bar and side stalls to keep you and all the family entertained until the show begins!

Circus tickets are now available at an EARLYBIRD discount until this Sunday, 17 May.

EARLYBIRD ticket prices are:
🎟️ £38 Family group ticket
🎟️ £11 Single ticket
🎟️ Children under 2yrs (on laps) are FREE!

Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, get ready for the greatest show on earth as Happy’s Circus rolls into Long Lane this Summer. 🤡🎪🎩

The all-human Circus brings international artists, delivering traditional family entertainment in a contemporary style. With aerial acts, acrobatics, clowns and more, get ready to be entertained!

We will be bringing the big top to school on Saturday 27th June 2026 alongside food stalls, a licensed bar and side stalls to keep you entertained until the show begins at 2:30pm.

All are welcome to come and join us at the circus so please share!

Discounted EARLYBIRD tickets are on sale until Sunday 10th May:
