We’re looking forward to welcoming you to our *PTA Summer Fair and Happy’s Circus*.
As you’ll know, we’ve been keeping a close eye on the weather due to this week’s extreme heat. We’re pleased to confirm that, now the Red and Amber warnings have been lifted, the event will be going ahead as planned.
We have been in regular contact with Happy’s Circus and have reviewed their hot‑weather plan and risk assessment. We’re confident that they have strong measures in place to help keep conditions as comfortable as possible throughout the performance.
To help everyone stay safe and enjoy the day, we recommend:
• Staying in the shade whenever possible
• Bringing sun hats, especially for children
• Applying sun cream regularly
• Keeping hydrated• Bottled water and soft drinks will be available to purchase
• A free drinking‑water refill point will be on site, so please bring reusable bottles
• If anyone begins to feel unwell, we will have qualified first aiders on site all day, along with a designated cool‑down area

Important information for the day
*Timings* 🕥
• 12:00pm – Summer Fair opens: games, face painting, children’s activities, food and drink stalls
• 2:00pm – Big Top doors open• If anyone in your group has mobility needs and may require early seating, please let a PTA member know on arrival
• 2:30pm – Circus performance begins
• Interval (30 minutes) – Refreshments available• Lucky Programme winner drawn
• Souvenir programmes (£1) available from the PTA desk
• 4:30pm – Performance ends, followed by a chance to meet the performers and take photos
• Until 5:00pm – Bar remains open• 5:00pm – Raffle draw (sponsored by Jack Mintern Plumbing)
• Please bring any remaining raffle ticket stubs and money to the PTA desk on arrival
• Event closes after the raffle

*Buggies and prams* 👶
Buggies and prams cannot be taken inside the Big Top. A buggy park will be available, and you may wish to bring a baby carrier or sling.

*Parking*
There is no parking available at the school.
If you live locally, please walk or cycle where possible.
If you need to drive, please consider car sharing and park considerately on surrounding roads.
Please do not block driveways or access routes, and avoid using the car park at The Barn at Goosecroft, which is reserved for other events.

*On arrival*
Please check in at the PTA desk and have your QR code ready (on your phone or printed) to help us admit everyone quickly.
