Another great and busy weekend in the sunshine at the club, which is just how we like it!
Starting Saturday morning with our usual coaching session with our Colts & Juniors (+ a few adults sneaking in!) Always a delight and a real pleasure seeing them all grow (literally) week by week! The afternoon saw our friends from the Borough of Eye BC arrive to give us a great, tough game in the Bowls England Top Club, it went down to the wire on 4 rinks, with our Thurlton boys, after a nail biting finish for the game on the last rink playing, taking the game 3-2!
It was a lovely atmosphere, very exciting and a game we were very glad to win!🎉
Saturday evening followed with a darts & social evening, again great fun and thanks to Jack for setting up, going to play bowls, and coming back to win the darts competition 🎖🎖🎯 Jo Jo did a great job as compere in Jack's absence, it sounded like we were watching it on the TV...well done Jo Jo!
Sunday morning saw the launch of our new kit, with our boys playing Marlborough BC in the BE Men's National Double Fours, winning on one rink but not quite enough to cover our losing rink. A tough, hard fought game, but congratulations must go to Marlborough 🎉and nice to see some supporters who travelled up with them and catch up!
Lunchtime saw our Marie Curie team with Captain Bob, play at Sole Bay, sadly not to be this time, but this is such a great cause to support and we thank all the members for taking part and thank Bob for organising the team, great job!
