We’re a local Branch of one of the UK’s largest friendly societies, the Oddfellows, which has over 200 years of experience of creating opportunities for people to meet up and make friends, as well as supporting our members in times of need. We’re a not-for-profit, mutual society, run by our members for our members and run events and things to do in and around Preston. We have local Branches across Lancashire in Preston, Blackpool, and Lancaster. We host regular inexpensive social events as well as one-off special activities like trips out and holidays. This Wednesday will be our last evening walk around Preston Dock for this year!

Come and join us for a leisurely stroll around the water’s edge before retiring to the Ribble Pilot for a well deserved drink or even a bite to eat.

We are meeting at the slightly earlier time of 5 pm at the entrance to the pub.
If you’d just like to meet later for a catch-up and some company, please meet us back there at 6 pm.

Join Preston & Fylde Oddfellows for a fun-filled day out, with a little friendly competition, a delicious lunch and a chance to soak up some festive atmosphere! 🎅

⛳ First up – Cue Golf!

A quirky twist on traditional crazy golf, played on a tabletop using a cue! It’s great fun for everyone, and absolutely no experience or special skills are needed. Just come along, have a laugh and enjoy yourself!

💷 Cost: £7 per person

🐟 Lunch at the Ocean Fish & Chip Restaurant

After our game, we’ll enjoy lunch together at the Ocean Fish & Chip Restaurant, where there’s a varied menu with something to suit different tastes.

🎄 Time to Explore the Christmas Displays!

After lunch, there’ll be free time to wander around the beautiful Barton Grange Garden Centre, both indoors and out.

Their spectacular Christmas displays are always a highlight of the year and are sure to get us in the festive spirit as we look forward to the coming weeks of Christmas celebrations! ✨🎁

🇩🇪🍻 PROST! A FANTASTIC OKTOBERFEST CELEBRATION! 🥨🍷

What a wonderful evening of Bavarian fun, fabulous food, games and a little German w**e and b**r tasting! 🇩🇪

Our members enjoyed a fantastic Oktoberfest celebration in Penwortham this week, with plenty of laughter, delicious flavours and great company!

🍷🍺 A Taste of Germany!

We were delighted to welcome Colin, our resident drinks expert, who guided us through a tasting of three German w**es and three German b**rs. Sharing his extensive knowledge of their origins, history and distinctive flavours, Colin made the experience both fascinating and thoroughly enjoyable!

🥨🌭 A Bavarian Feast!

Our drinks were accompanied by delicious platters of traditional German-inspired food, including bratwurst, bockwurst, pretzels, German cheeses, sauerkraut, gherkins and plenty of other tasty treats!

🍰 Something Sweet!

We were also treated to some wonderful homemade Black Forest gâteau cupcakes, lovingly prepared by one of our talented members, alongside apple strudel, stollen and other sweet delights!

🏆 A Little Friendly Competition!

The evening wouldn’t have been complete without some fun and games! Our German-themed quiz certainly got everyone thinking, with one team narrowly edging ahead to claim the winning prize!

👏 A huge thank you to Colin for sharing his expertise, to everyone who contributed to our wonderful feast, and of course to all our members who made the evening such a success!

❤️ And the best part? This entire evening cost our members just £3 each! 🥨🍷

What a lovely afternoon we’ve had at Stanley Park! ❤️🤍💙

The weather may have had other ideas for our planned walk, with some rather heavy rain showers, but that certainly didn’t dampen our spirits!

Instead, we took the opportunity to explore the Visitor Centre, where we discovered some fascinating artefacts and learnt more about the history of this beautiful park.

Stanley Park is looking particularly splendid at the moment following a Royal visit earlier this week, as the park celebrates its very special 100th anniversary. The beautiful Art Deco Café was decked out in red, white and blue for the celebrations, providing the perfect setting for us to enjoy a delicious afternoon tea together.

Another lovely Oddfellows afternoon filled with friendship, conversation and good company. 🥰
