ANOTHER WIN FOR THE U13s!

Thetford Town U13s made it 10 wins from 10, completing an UNBEATEN league season and finishing TOP OF THE TABLE with a perfect 20 points! 🏆👏

Garboldisham batted first and were restricted to 51 all out, with another strong all-round bowling performance from Thetford in the rain.

⭐ Caleb — 2 wickets for 9
⭐ Finley — 1 wicket for 2
⭐ Harry — 1 wicket for 3
⭐ Zac — 1 wicket for 12

Thetford then set about the chase. After losing an early wicket, Louie and Benjy took control, seeing the team safely home before more rain to win by 7 wickets and put the perfect finishing touch on what has been an absolutely outstanding season.

But the biggest achievement has been watching this group develop as a team. Their commitment to training, support for one another and the way they’ve represented the club throughout the season has been fantastic.

A huge congratulations to every player who has pulled on a Thetford shirt and to the coaches, parents and supporters who have been behind them all the way.

Women’s and girls’ cricket is growing — and here at Thetford Town Cricket Club we are seeing that growth first-hand. More girls coming through, more women picking up a bat, more opportunities being created and a real pathway beginning to develop.

But growth needs facilities to match it.

That is what Project 100 is about. Creating the facilities our club needs so that the next generation has somewhere to train, develop, belong and fall in love with cricket.

Investment in grassroots cricket isn’t just about new nets.

It’s about opportunity.
It’s about community.
And it’s about making sure cricket at Thetford has a future.

We’ve come a long way, but we’re not finished yet.

Yesterday, Thetford Town Cricket Club proudly hosted the ECB U11 & U13 Girls County Festival, welcoming seven girls’ teams for a brilliant day of cricket.

This is bigger than new nets.

Project 100 is about creating a club that can host days like this.

A club where young players can train, develop and fall in love with cricket.

A club that can welcome teams and families from across Norfolk to Thetford.

And a club with facilities ready for the next generation.

Yesterday showed exactly what we’re fighting for.

More cricket. More opportunities. More young people playing the game. ❤️🏏
