Telford Autism Hub Telford Autism Hub is a diagnostic and support service for those registered with a GP in Telford & Wrekin.

We offer support for people diagnosed with ASD from age 16+, and Autism assessments for people aged 18+. Telford Autism Hub provides weekly drops ins for people who live in Telford & Wrekin who are transitioning through our ASD Pathway. We offer 1 to 1 peer support or monthly group activities which we have games, crafts, outings and talks for all service users.

📣 Meet Employability & Enterprise and the DEAs at our Information, Advice & Guidance Drop-In! 📣

Join us this Friday (19th June), 11:00am – 1:00pm, in the Family Zone at Hazeldine House, where you'll have the opportunity to meet professionals who can support you with employment, volunteering, skills development and future career goals.

⭐ Employability & Enterprise (Community Resource) will be attending alongside Disability Employment Advisers (DEAs) to offer advice and guidance tailored to your individual needs.

Employability & Enterprise can support young adults aged 18-30 with:

✅ Finding volunteering opportunities across a range of sectors

✅ Building confidence, skills and work experience

✅ Personalised one-to-one support and mentoring

✅ Accessing training opportunities

✅ Developing employability skills and career prospects

✅ Exploring pathways into employment

Disability Employment Advisers (DEAs) can help with:

✅ Employment support for individuals with disabilities, health conditions or additional needs

✅ Identifying suitable job opportunities

✅ Workplace adjustments and Access to Work guidance

✅ Building confidence around employment

✅ Advice to help overcome barriers to work

Whether you're looking to gain experience, build new skills, explore volunteering or take the next step towards employment, come along and have a chat.

Our Information, Advice and Guidance Drop-In Session takes place this Friday (19th June) from 11:00am until 1:00pm in our Family Zone at Hazeldine House, where you can meet a range of professionals who can provide support and guidance.

The following services will be attending:

Adult Social Care
• Advice and guidance for individuals who feel they require additional support.
• Information on available care and support services.

Job Box
• Assistance with job applications.
• Support with writing and updating CVs.
• Job interview preparation and support.
• Work trials and job coaching.
• Help to retain employment.
• Support with Access to Work applications.
• General advice and guidance around employment.

Telford MIND
• Supportive and reliable mental health information.
• Guidance to help people understand their mental health.
• Information about the support and choices available to them.

Jobcentre Plus
• Advice and support for people who are unemployed and seeking work.
• Help with job searching.
• Support to develop new skills.
• Information and guidance to help you move towards employment.

A friendly reminder that our next Autistic LGBTQ+ Group is taking place tomorrow, in conjunction with Autistic Pride Day.

Join us for an inclusive, welcoming afternoon where you can socialise, meet like-minded people, and enjoy a variety of board games in a relaxed environment. ♟️🎮🃏

Join us for an evening of tasty food, the opportunity to meet new friends and socialise, in a safe and relaxing environment. This month’s Supper Club takes place next Thursday (18th June) at 5:30pm until 7:00pm.

The menu choice for Supper Club this month is Beef Chilli and Rice with Sticky Toffee Pudding for Dessert.

Vegetarian/Vegan options are available. £10 per person with a soft drink included.

The MPFT adult autism assessment team are inviting people with an autism diagnosis to attend the first meeting of a new co-production project.

The project will focus on creating a post-diagnostic information handout/resource for autistic people after diagnosis. We want to hear people’s views, ideas, and experiences to help make sure the handout is clear, useful, accessible, and includes the information people really need.

At the meeting, we will talk about what should be included in the handout, how it should be presented, and what would make it helpful after diagnosis.
