When was the last time you invested in yourself as a celebrant? πŸ’œ

Penny puts it perfectly here. CPD isn't about ticking a box or adding another certificate to the folder. It's about growing as a celebrant, as a business owner and as a person.

That's exactly what the Celebrant Guild is for. Membership gives you regular CPD sessions with learning, inspiration and practical support, all inside a community of celebrants who truly get it.

Our next masterclass is on Tuesday 17th November at 7pm.
We're joined by life and wellbeing coach and funeral celebrant Sarah Kerr for a session on mindfulness and meditation. Sarah will share practical ways to manage stress, ease overwhelm and build confidence, focus and emotional resilience.

Being a celebrant is wonderful, but it can also be a lot. Sometimes the most valuable learning is the kind that looks after you.

Guild members, pop it in your diary now. And if you're not a member yet, comment HIVE below and we'll send you everything you need to join us. Great celebrants never stop learning, and none of us have to do it alone.

Walking into a venue for the first time on the ceremony day leaves a lot to chance.
Where will you stand? Where does the light fall? How far does your voice need to carry?

Where you can, visit beforehand, even just for half an hour. Walk the aisle, stand where you will deliver the ceremony and picture the guests in front of you. For funerals, getting to know the crematoria and burial grounds in your area makes a real difference to how calm and confident you feel.

When the space feels familiar, you can give all your attention to the people in it.

You've done the training, written the scripts and officiated your first ceremony. Now comes the bit nobody really talks about: helping couples and families actually find you.

Your website is the second biggest source of bookings for celebrants, just behind word of mouth. Even when someone is recommended to you, the first thing they'll do is look you up. If your website doesn't feel like you, or you don't have one yet, that's where enquiries quietly slip away.

That's why we created Celebrant Studio. We design brands and websites just for celebrants, so you can spend your time on what you love while your website helps the right people find you.

Comment WEBSITE and we'll send you the details.

It is tempting to close the laptop and move straight on to the next booking once a ceremony is done, but a quick debrief afterwards is where a lot of the real learning happens.

That might be a voice note to yourself on the drive home, a line or two added to the client file, or a catch up with your mentor. What worked well. What you would tweak next time. What a family said that you want to remember.

Small habits like this quietly turn every ceremony into training for the next one. πŸ’š

Lots of people become celebrants for deeply personal reasons, and that story could be your best way into the local press. In this clip, Susannah Dale breaks down what PR actually is and shares the first of three story angles you can use to get yourself seen in papers, magazines, radio and beyond πŸ“°

Features are those chunky, human interest pieces readers love. So ask yourself, what's your story? The reason you found celebrancy might be exactly what your local editor is looking for ✨

The Hive is full of masterclasses just like this one, real, practical guidance from experts and celebrants who've built businesses that work. Watch live or catch up whenever you need it 🐝

When did you last learn something that made you better at your job?

Our Celebrant Guild mentor Helen Jubb takes you behind the scenes of what Guild members have been learning together this year. From a back-to-basics funeral focus session on the things that can get overlooked when you're busy doing the job, to exploring the relationships worth building beyond funeral directors, every session is designed to grow your knowledge, sharpen your skills and help you feel more confident in the work you do.

Inside The Guild you'll find regular CPD sessions with knowledgeable and talented co-hosts, webinars and coaching recordings, templates and toolkits, access to insurance, the full Business Kickstarter Course and a community of celebrants who genuinely want to see each other succeed.

Qualifying is just the beginning. The celebrants who keep learning are the ones who keep growing, and we'd love you to do that alongside us.

Ready to keep developing with people who truly get it?

Running a celebrant business means your energy should go into couples, families and ceremonies, not into fiddling with website hosting, updates or backups. That's exactly why The Celebrant Studio exists. We look after everything going on behind the scenes, from hosting and maintenance to security and updates, so your website stays sharp, professional and ready to bring in new enquiries without piling more onto your to-do list.

Take a look at this warm, romantic website we built for Kay Story, a wedding celebrant based in Norfolk. Kay spent three decades working with people through coaching and motivation before finding her true calling in celebrancy, and now creates heartfelt weddings, civil partnerships and vow renewal ceremonies for couples across Norfolk and Suffolk, whether that's under ancient trees, inside a rustic barn or right by the sea.

We wanted the site to reflect Kay's calm confidence and warmth, along with her belief that every love story is different, so every ceremony should be too. It was important to bring out the care, humour and real connection she offers each couple, helping them feel completely at ease throughout the whole process. The end result is a site that feels genuine, inviting and thoroughly Kay, right down to the smallest touches.

However many ceremonies you have officiated, that flutter of nerves beforehand rarely disappears completely, and that is worth saying out loud more often.

It does not mean you are not ready. It usually means you care about getting it right for the people in front of you. Arriving early enough to settle into the space, take a few slow breaths and simply be present can make all the difference between nerves taking over and nerves quietly sitting alongside you while you deliver something wonderful.

If you still feel it before every ceremony, you are in very good company. πŸ’š

The beautiful part of celebrancy is standing in front of a couple or a family and telling their story. The less glamorous part is the emails, the contracts, the chasing up song choices at eleven at night.

What's the admin task that takes up more of your time than you expected when you started out?
Tell us below and we'll compare notes.

Ever wondered what a full day at the Celebrant Guild Brand Shoot actually looks like?
Picture styled sets, a real funeral scene, a full wedding backdrop, and a photographer right there with you the whole time, so you're never left awkwardly posing on your own wondering what to do with your hands.

Days like this are all about helping you build a brand that actually looks and feels like you, with images you can use across your website and social media for years to come. We're already planning the next one for 2027, and spots tend to go quickly once dates are announced.

If you'd like first refusal, pop a comment below and we'll send you the link to our waitlist so you hear before anyone else.
