The Meeting Place & Upper Rooms is a Community Interest Company set up to provide a friendly, relaxed meeting place for residents and visitors to Sutton-at-Hone in the form of a Coffee Shop within Sutton-at-Hone Library. The Meeting Place also serves as a Community Hub, advertising and showcasing local businesses, organisations and talent. Shelf and wall space is available, and groups/classes/work

shops etc can choose to meet at TMP for free. We promote events, places to visit, and other things important to the local area. In addition, workshops, classes and advice drop-ins are provided by local people and other organisations where possible.

On Saturday Nick, Brenda, Ben, Krisha, Satvinder, Ann & Jean covered from Balmoral Rd right down to the A2 Bridge collecting 10 bags of litter.
We know there are lots more litter pickers out there, thank-you for giving up your time!

Took a walk along the Darent Valley Path today by the river from Hawley to Farningham as practice for our charity walk in July.
It’s a beautiful walk especially in the blazing sunshine, totally recommend!
It was about 5 miles along the path to Farningham so we managed 10 miles all round, which is not far off our target 😊

Thanks to Savinder and Rhys for joining our regulars Brenda, Nick, Ben and me today.
We’re very grateful to whoever has been out in the last week or two and ‘picked’ as our job today was much easier from the Library up to the garden centre!

If you’d like to join us or ‘pick your own patch’ you can collect FREE litter pickers, hi-viz bibs, gloves and green sacks from the library 😊

If you’re in Hawley you can join Satvinder on Saturday 13th June at 10am at the bottom of Shirehall Rd, or meet at SAH Library at the same time for those in SAH.
