🌼 Sully Village Show & Craft Fair is back! 🌼
Join us on Saturday 5th September at The Old School, South Road, Sully for an afternoon celebrating local talent, creativity, community spirit and family fun.
The show is open to all who live, work or attend classes or clubs in Sully & Lavernock, Dinas Powys and Wenvoe and their children or have grandparents that do — so everyone can get involved.
🌿 Thinking of entering?
Entries should be made using the form included in the Schedule, which can be downloaded from our website. Paper copies are also available from Sully Library, The Old School, Dinas Powys Library and Wenvoe Library.
Entries will be accepted on the morning of the show between 8.00 am and 10.15 am only, except for photography entries.
Entry is just £1 per class, payable in cash on arrival — and it’s free for anyone aged 16 and under.
🎪 The show and craft fair will be open to the public from 1 pm to 4 pm, with free entry for visitors.
There will be refreshments available, plus a raffle during the afternoon — raffle tickets can be purchased in the lobby area from 1 pm. We’re also delighted that local radio station Rookwood Sound will once again be broadcasting live from the show!
Tune in on the day or pop over and say hello to the Rookwood Sound team while they’re live from the show.

8 - 11 years old
004 A piece of writing (A5 maximum size) using this text – “I am a crab who walks the shore and pinches toes all the way. If I were you I’d wear some socks and not get in my way”
005 Three rock cakes
(004 and 005 -illustration/decoration may be added)
006 Create an animal from vegetables/fruit

12 - 16 years old
007 An animal in any medium (maximum size 30x30x30cm)
008 Five chocolate brownie slices

Introducing this year’s Cookery Categories for the Sully Village Show on 5th September 2026 at the Old School, Sully

201 A Jar of chutney (made at least 3 months before date of show. Indicate if spices/chilli included)
202 A Jar of soft fruit jam
203 A Jar of marmalade
204 A Jar of stone fruit jam
RULES for above categories – Jars must be colourless and should not exceed 550g. Date contents made should be stated on jar label.
205 5 Cheese scones
206 5 Welsh cakes
207 5 shortbread biscuits
208 A Victoria sponge cake
209 A loaf of machine-made bread, any flour
210 A loaf of hand-made bread, any flour
211 A Banana cake using the following recipe:
4 ripe bananas, 250g caster sugar, 2 large eggs, 140g margarine, 250g SR flour, 2tsp baking powder, 100g chopped walnuts, 100g chocolate chips. Mix bananas & sugar, add eggs, add margarine. Fold in flour & baking powder, add nuts & chocolate chips. Bake in lined loaf tin for approximately 50-60 mins at 170o

We’re currently looking for:
• Raffle prizes from individuals or local businesses for our raffle on the afternoon of the show
• Volunteers to help serve tea and coffee between 1 pm and 4 pm while the show is open to the public
