✨ Welcome back! ✨

We hope everyone has enjoyed their first two weeks back at school and are beginning to settle in with a new school year and find their rhythm.

A very warm welcome to all our returning pupils and families, and an extra special welcome to everyone joining our school community for the first time, particularly our new Nursery and Reception children and their families. We hope you already feel at home at FPLS!

We have been busy behind the scenes, meeting our fantastic new Head, Mr Brown, and planning an exciting year ahead, all while helping our own children and families adjust to new routines, classes and schools too.

We’d like to wish all of last year’s leavers the very best of luck in their new schools and adventures. Everyone at FPLS is cheering you on, and we hope you’re settling in and enjoying this exciting next chapter.

Hope you all have a brilliant school year, see you all soon.

💙 Wishing all our wonderful Year 4s and their families the very best on your last day at Fairfield Park Lower School!

As you take your final walk through the school gates, remember just how far you’ve come. From little feet and big dreams to the incredible young people you all are today, you’ve filled Fairfield Park Lower School with laughter, learning, friendship and memories that will last a lifetime.

As one chapter of your school journey comes to an end, another exciting adventure is about to begin. We hope you’ll always carry a little piece of Fairfield Park Lower School with you, just as you’ll always leave a little piece of yourselves here.

To all your brilliant parents and families, enjoy that last walk to school together… and don’t forget the tissues for the end of the day as it only seems like yesterday you were waving goodbye on that very first morning.

Good luck, Class of 2026. Shine like the stars we know you are! ✨

As another fantastic school year comes to a close, we’d like to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has supported our clothing and textile collections throughout the year.

Thanks to your amazing generosity, together we’ve raised an incredible £542.25 for the PTA! 👏

Every bag donated has helped us raise valuable funds that go straight back into creating enriching experiences, resources and opportunities for all the children at Fairfield Park Lower School.

Our collections simply wouldn’t be possible without your continued support, so whether you’ve donated once or every time, thank you for helping us make a difference.

👕 Our next clothing collection will take place in September. We’ll share dates and collection times towards the end of the summer holidays, so keep an eye on our page for more details.

We’re still smiling after such an incredible Summer Fete, and we’re absolutely delighted to share that, thanks to the amazing support of our Fairfield Park Lower School community, we raised a fantastic £2,408.78! 🎉

What a fete-tastic day it was! With sunshine overhead, laughter all around and so many smiling faces, it was wonderful to see our school community come together to enjoy a truly memorable day.

To everyone who came along, volunteered, donated, bought raffle tickets, ran stalls, helped behind the scenes or simply joined in the fun – thank you. Every helping hand, every kind gesture and every pound raised helped make the day such a success.

A very special thank you to our wonderful teachers and school staff who gave up part of their weekend to support the fete. Your enthusiasm, generosity and commitment to our children never go unnoticed, and we’re so grateful for everything you do.

A huge thank you also goes to everyone who helped make the day extra special:
⚽ for supporting our ever-popular Beat the Goalie PTA game.
🎠 Alan Thorpe for bringing the fun once again and helping make each year bigger and better.
🥋 Savage Martial Arts for their fantastic demonstrations throughout the day.
✨ Michelle Michelle | Face Painter | Letchworth | Hitchin | for adding her magic and sparkle to the day.
🍔 Gour Blimey Burgers, ☕ Chai stall and 🍦 Mr Ice Cream for keeping everyone well fed with such friendly smiles.
🛍️ Our wonderful stall holders for making the fete such a vibrant community event.
💙 And finally, our sincere thanks to our generous sponsor, First Step , for your continued support of our school.

Events like this simply wouldn’t happen without the incredible support of our families, volunteers, staff, local businesses and wider community. You really helped us raise the bar (and the bunting!) 🎈

Most importantly, every penny of the £2,408.78 raised will go straight back into enriching school life, helping to fund exciting experiences, opportunities and memories for every child at Fairfield Park Lower School.

From all of us at FPLS PTA, thank you for making this year’s Summer Fete one to remember. We truly couldn’t do it without you. 💙💛
